Take the Ropeway gondola up Mount Tenguyama for a top view of Otaru city and the beautiful sea. You can exchange your QR code for a physical ticket at the counter and also receive a free postcard and a 10% discount at Tenguu Cafe. At the top, there's a Chipmunk Garden, Tengu Shrine, and other activities to enjoy.

At first I was really hesitant to prucahse this ticket and ropeway, but when I went there, it really never dissapoints me, this is one of the viewpoints that every tourist must visit when visiting Otaru! I really recommend to visit every viewpoint and out of the wood views of this place! It was worth for its price!

Summary: If you come to Otaru, you must come to Tengu Mountain to enjoy the night view. It is very convenient to book cable car tickets in advance on klook. 1. We visited on 8/7 (Wednesday). We took a bus from Otaru Station to Tenguyama Cable Car Station, which took about 15 minutes. 2. Because it rained at Otaru Station, it was foggy when we got to Mount Tengu, so we couldn’t see the night view. 3. After ordering ramen and curry rice at the cafe above Mount Tengu, the fog had not yet receded. I was about to leave, but I went up to the viewing platform to watch, only to find that the fog slowly receded, and I could see the entire night view of Mount Tengu in Otaru. Nothing left. 4. After buying the ticket in advance at klook, go to the entrance to change the ticket, and you will receive a 10% discount coupon for cable car tickets, coffee and gifts, and a Tengu Mountain postcard.

Easy and fast transaction using Klook voucher. Just exchange the voucher with printed tickets at the counter and you are good to go. Suggest to plan your trip and reach at the top before sunset. The view is breathtaking. There are chairs and tables outside where you can sit and enjoy the view, or inside the restaurant while you are eating. There are more to do and see in Mt. Tengu apart from the fantastic view such as shrine, museum, squirrel and hiking area. This is really recommended!

It was really easy to redeem the tickets when we reach. Just need to show them the QR code. Queue was short and thankfully for the good weather. We had a great time.

A very good and beautiful place, well worth a visit. It would be better if it could indicate how to get to the destination by bus from the station. When we went there, we couldn’t get a taxi. There were very few taxis in Otaru and they were not available. We know how to take the bus, because the bus instructions in Japan look very complicated and difficult to understand. Finally, a very nice Japanese mother-in-law helped us take the bus. Fortunately, she can speak a little Japanese and can communicate. If others don’t know Japanese If so, it will be easier to get lost. Finally, I posted a beautiful picture of Mount Tengu. Being able to see the beautiful scenery under a clear sky is one of the great joys in life.

Having visited Otaru multiple times on my own, after enjoying a seafood rice bowl at Rinyu Asaichi Market, I took a taxi to the ropeway station. The online price was similar to buying tickets on-site, but it included a postcard worth ¥100. From the mountain, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Otaru Port. Sipping a refreshing coffee at the restaurant inside the station while admiring the scenery is the perfect way to escape the intense sunlight!
