José is a great guide, we booked the tour as our first activity in Kyoto, and Jose gave us spot-on recommendations that allowed us to avoid large crowds while still getting a good feel for both Kyoto's nightlife and cultural significance. We asked for a fast-faced tour and he had us covered so much ground. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Milo was my tour guide and he was fantastic! Very knowledgeable on everything Kyoto and i thoroughly enjoyed listening to him. I also loved how he met me at my hotel. He took me to some lovely souvenir shops and around the Keisha district and out of the hustle and bustle. Overall great experience!

Everything about this tour was excellent. Easily one of the best tours I’ve ever been on (if not THE best tour) in the over 50+ countries I’ve traveled to. Milo was a well-versed guide, not only with knowledge on the historical aspects on Japan, but also amazing local recommendations. Truly could not recommend this tour and Milo enough.

What a fantastic tour. We love the personal touch. Great communication building up to the tour. You get to really tailor your tour to what you want to see. Our guide Emi was a fabulous host. Very friendly and knowledgeable. She knew all the short cuts to avoid the crowds and we seen lots of little back streets that we just wouldn't have found on our own. She even helped us get our IC cards from the station at the end of our trip. I highly recommend doing this trip at the start of your holiday. It gets you up close and personal with your surrounding area and gives you the confidence to carry on exploring on your own. Nothing beats a bit of local knowledge. A must do for those of you who prefer small group tours. Big shout out to Emi, we'll done.

I cannot recommend this enough! Our guide Toga-san was extremely informative and showed us a perfeclt balanced mix of both must-see places and hidden gems in the Gion area. We even caught multiple geisha-san and maiko-san! We even received many tips for our next days in Kyoto! Hontoni arigato gozaimasu, Toga-san!

I HAD A BLAST! Taibi was such a great private tour guide. He tailored my tour exactly how I wanted it to be (and exceeded my expectations). He brought me all over Kyoto and was very informative. The tour did not feel scripted. In fact, it felt as if I was visiting an old friend and they were showing me around their favorite spots. All the spots we hit were terrific and a great price! I tend to be shy in asking for pictures, but Taibi found the best photo spots and would always offer to take the photo. The tour never felt rushed and I enjoyed every moment of it. THANK YOU TAIBI!!
