This journey is very satisfying and unforgettable. The employees of Sovereign Hill put on traditional costumes to make you feel like you are back in the old gold rush era. I am also very excited to be able to encounter with the little koala😻
A bus picked us up at the hotel at 7:15 am and brought to federation square. We were told to transfer to another bus and were made to wait for a long time. We left at 8am already. We just passed by the town of Ballarat. Sovereign Hill was just ok, the place looks frozen in time. However, not all the tours inside are free.
We went on a day where the weather was cool and sky clear . Really enjoyed the tour. After visiting the various demonstrations by the traders , we came away with knowledge about how things were made in the past . ESP fun was the candy making demonstration.
We had an unforgettable experience in Wildlife Park, Ballarat.My kids really enjoy feeding the kangaroos, enjoying all kinds of animals such as emu,tigers,wombat,koalas and so on.Sovereign Hill was great as well.
Don't expect too much from this attraction, but the individual links are ok. I don't recommend this attraction, but everyone likes it differently, please consider it yourself. The tour guide is full of English, and the expression skills are excellent and humorous!
The tour was well organized and pickup was on time. The VIP Wildlife Close Encounters option was well worth it. We got fabulous photos with the koalas. The Sovereign Hill is an open air museum with lots of photo opportunities.
Beautiful town of ballarat, rich with history and seemingly each building has their own story to tell.
We added the Ballarat Zoo, can touch and take photos with koalas, kangaroos, penguins closely. Our tour guide is from grey line, an experienced tour guide.

One of the best outdoor museums, Sovereign Hill is a must do in Melbourne. Discover the colorful history of mining in the region - including the discovery of gold - that dates all the way back to the 1850s. Travel back in time and explore the stage coach route along the Western Highway to Ballarat. Tour through the beautiful town, walk through its gardens, and get a chance to see the magnificent architecture of the 1850s. You can even try your luck at gold panning in Red Gully Creek, and go through the underground caves on the Red Hill mine tour. Depending on what package you choose, you can also enjoy a delicious lunch at the legendary New York Bakery, or go on a VIP wildlife experience where you get to feed some kangaroos and see some koalas up close. There's so much to see and do at Sovereign Hill - make the trip for a day well spent.
