The park is massive — definitely too big to walk around, so I’d highly recommend hiring one of the cars to make the most of it. There are so many amazing opportunities to get up close with the animals, which was definitely the highlight of the visit.
It was wet and rainy on the day we went, so some animals were kept inside rather than in their outdoor enclosures. The undercover areas for some animals including the hyena, giraffe and elephant were in quite small cages considering their size, which felt a bit cruel to see. Some areas could also use a bit of maintenance and upkeep. Hardly any shops and restaurants were open. Souvenirs were mainly stuffed toys but you can get an AI photo printed for 1.99 yuan
