Experience: I had a comfortable and enjoyable bus tour to Nara Deer Park and Kobe with Rakutour on Thursday, October 23rd. Thanks to the cheerful and lively guidance of our guide, Koi, my son and I had a fun and safe full-day tour. We wanted to see the night view of Kobe Port Tower, so we returned separately to Osaka, but thanks to guide Koi's consideration and guidance, we enjoyed the night view of Kobe Port Tower, walked to Sannomiya Station, observed Kobe citizens on their way home from work, took the Hankyu Line, and arrived safely at our accommodation in Umeda.

The tower is a central feature in the main port area of Kobe. It is a favorite tourist attraction and photo spot. It is located next to the iconic “Be Kobe” sign, encouraging an appreciation for the local area and what it has to offer. The tower has a good layout, and is walkable. Recommend purchasing roof top access for an additional 200¥ yen per person, as the roof offers panoramic views of the city.

Kobe Port Tower was a highlight for our recent day trip to Kobe and well worth a visit, especially as the sun goes down and the lights of the surrounding city (and mountains) provide an illuminated experience.

The view of Kobe is stunning. Once you're up there, you can see a panoramic view. It's very convenient to use the pass; you don't need to do anything. Just show it to the staff, and they'll take you up to the top in the elevator.

Nice little tower. Good view and surprisingly clean windows. The revolving restaurant only has a very small selection, but it was enough for me. For me, it's a must-see if you're in Kobe.

It's not a fast pass; you still have to stand in line to get the physical pass, so I recommend arriving 10 minutes before your scheduled time. Overall, the experience is very good. The views of the city at sunset and at night are spectacular. And if you want to go to the restaurant at the end, just make a reservation in advance because it fills up very quickly.
