We had an excellent half-day tour of Hanoi with Mac. From the start, he was incredibly informative, friendly and attentive, tailoring the experience to our interests rather than simply following a fixed itinerary. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he went out of his way to make sure we had the best possible experience. His knowledge of Hanoi’s history, culture and hidden gems was exceptional, and his English was outstanding, making everything easy to understand and engaging. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, personable guide who genuinely cares about his guests, I can’t recommend Mac highly enough.
We had a wonderful experience on the Hanoi Half Day City Tour. Quinn, our tour guide, spoke very clear English and explained every stop very well, making the tour both informative and enjoyable. She was also very helpful during an emergency situation, which we truly appreciated. Special thanks as well to Tong, our driver, for being attentive and making sure we were comfortable and safe throughout the trip. Highly recommended!
Even though it was a half day tour it was worth a while and value for money and a lot to learn from Vietnamese culture and history, Mac who was our guide was spot on and very clear in on all the aspects and history.
We participated in the afternoon Hanoi half day city private tour in December 2025. We enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it. Well planned itinerary, with good coverage and comfortable pace. Pickup / drop-off at hotel is very convenient. Suitable for anyone including elderly. Our local guide was a cheerful, enthusiastic lady, April. She was great, very fluent in english, professional, knowledgeable and informative. We learned a lot from her. It was a great experience overall. Thank you April. The van was spacious for three. Also, Stella from Crossing Vietnam Travel was very accomodating and agreed to swap coffee in old quarter to coffee in train street. Highly recommended!
I booked a joiner tour and I am glad that we are only 4pax! Our tour guide (I forgot his name sorry -- I think it's ming?) is on time, very well articulated, and very accommodating. He made sure that our time and money are well spent on this tour. He explained a lot about every stop and also shared other random interesting facts about Vietnam. The tour originally includes a cafe visit as the last part but we suggested if we can visit train street instead which he ok'd with as long as everyone is also ok with it. He also recommended us a very good Bun Cha place - he assisted us to get a table and ordered for us. Thank you for going above and beyond!
During our half-day Hanoi city tour with our guide Tommy, we experienced a vibrant blend of history and culture. Tommy's insights brought each site to life, starting with the bustling Train Street Café, where we enjoyed coffee as trains passed by. The solemn Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum offered a glimpse into Vietnam's revered history. The grandeur of the Hanoi Opera House showcased the city's French colonial architecture. Our visit to a serene Buddhist Pagoda provided a peaceful retreat amidst the city's energy. Tommy's knowledgeable and engaging commentary made this tour a memorable and enriching experience.
Had a great time with our tour guide Mike. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the sites and Vietnam. Everything ran smoothly despite the hot and humid weather and we never had to wait more than a minute for the car moving from one site to another as Mike coordinated well with the driver. He took care of us patiently and gave us useful tips for the rest of our time in Hanoi. Highly recommended private tour - you can visit most of the famous sites within an afternoon without the stress of navigating (especially when traveling with older family members) and get a quick history lesson from a local, who also doubles as your official photographer 😆
I recently took the Hanoi Half Day City Tour, and it was an incredible experience! Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the city’s rich history and culture, which made the tour even more enjoyable. We visited several iconic landmarks, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the beautiful One Pillar Pagoda, and the stunning Temple of Literature. Each stop provided fascinating insights into Vietnam’s history and traditions. The pace of the tour was perfect, allowing us enough time to explore and take photos without feeling rushed. The highlight for me was wandering through the Old Quarter, where we experienced the vibrant atmosphere and sampled some local street food. The flavors were amazing, and it was a great way to immerse ourselves in the local culture. Overall, the Hanoi Half Day City Tour was well-organized and offered a fantastic introduction to this beautiful city. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Hanoi in a short amount of time!
Our recent half-day city tour of Hanoi was an absolute delight, thanks largely to the incredible guidance from Levy. From the moment we met, his enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the city were evident. Levy's passion for Hanoi shone through as he expertly navigated us through the bustling streets, sharing fascinating stories and historical insights about each landmark. He was incredibly patient in answering our questions, ensuring we understood the cultural nuances of this vibrant city. The tour itself was well-paced, covering a perfect mix of iconic sights and hidden gems. We visited the iconic St. Joseph's Cathedral of Hanoi, Hanoi Opera House, Hoan Kiem Lake, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum ,One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda and Train Street. Levy's ability to connect with us on a personal level made the experience even more special. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable time, even recommending local delicacies and sharing his personal experiences of living in Hanoi. Overall, I highly recommend the Hanoi Half Day City Tour, especially if you have the chance to have Levy as your guide. He truly made our experience unforgettable.
