Original Japanese Chopstick Making Experience in Kyoto Gion (CHOPSTICKS LAB MISAKI)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Such a fun and unique experience in Kyoto! Making our own chopsticks was much more enjoyable than we expected. The staff were super friendly and explained every step clearly, from choosing the wood to shaping and polishing the chopsticks. We especially loved the engraving at the end — it made our chopsticks feel really personal and special. A wonderful souvenir and a great memory from Japan. Highly recommended!

unable to go in at the time we originally booked due to an issue with staff not having the key. they were very apologetic to us and gave us extra to make up for it. They helped guide us through making chopsticks using the blade and sanding. Enjoyed watching the engraving process. Choice of multiple woods to choose from, (some coat extra but a higher quality wood. Nice clean aesthetic environment overlooking the gion diatrict.

we did this as an activity with both our kids 7 & 9 and my mom. it is an activity that we all were engaged in and enjoyed the most as a family. no whinging & no complains from the kids. The staffs were very friendly and helpful during the entire time we spent here. highly reccomend it to be an activity on your to do list if you want something different to your usual site seeing and eating in Japan :)

A great experience. My twin 5 year old boys loved it, as did dad. A lovely studio and they were so lovely and patient with my boys. Would highly recommend this to everyone - a great way to spend an hour in Kyoto and you get a great souvenir at the end.
