Reviews
Kyoto chopsticks making workshop is a great group activity to do when your feet have had enough of walking the endless stairs in kyoto. a very doable and satisfying process, that results in a very cool personally made souvenir. location is easy to find, central and there is an elevator to the third floor of the building. The workshop space is well set up and clean. The staff were attentive and very helpful and super friendly. Highly recommend this experience and going earlier in the morning than later on when its busier
The explanations and friendly atmosphere exceeded our expectations! It was fun, and we were treated very professionally and friendly.
Absolutely amazing experience. The staff spoke English clearly, explained everything in detail, and were very patient with those of us who were less experienced. Highly recommend.
Excellent experience!! Super easy to do, and you can customise your chopsticks exactly how you want. The staff were really helpful and made everything simple. Perfect souvenir to take home definitely worth doing while you’re in Kyoto.
Had a hard time finding the place but an employee from another business helped us identify the building. They usually have various ranges of wood available but were sold out of some of their middle grade so they lowered the price on the more expensive ones. Misaki’s directions were precise and the whole thing was easily completed in an hour. Paid the extra for engraving as it’s my souvenir from the trip. It was definitely worth the money and would recommend.
Everyone was very kind. I didn't do a reservation, so I had to wait a little bit necause they had already started with a different group, which was fine. It was really fun and easy. I could show them the motiv of what I wanted engraved in it. Especially the little Bunny. I got wooden dust all over my clothes and they gave me a wet-towel to get rid of it, it worked quite well. Which means they are well prepared. I recommend anyone try it.
