This tour was amazing. We arrived at Kamikochi at 11:45am and went back to Tokyo by 3pm. Time was enough for us to take a lot of pictures, have lunch and dessert as well. The tour guide was nice and attentive. The bus was super comfortable as well. 10/10 experience!

That works. You can just treat it as a round-trip chartered vehicle between Tokyo and Kamikochi. A one-way trip takes about 4 hours and includes two rest stops. Please note that the 7-Eleven next to the "LOVE" landmark meeting point is not open at 7:00 AM, so be sure to buy whatever you need elsewhere beforehand and bring it with you. Otherwise, you'll have to wait 2 hours until the rest stop in the morning to buy food and drinks.
