We booked the tour and got Reon as our guide, it was just me and my mom on the tour so it was private! Reon was incredibly nice and knew everything there was to know about shintoism buddhism and he explained it to us perfectly . it was amazing, the streets were almost empty and it was very peaceful. Reon explained to us about the history of the geiko and the maiko and we walked through the geisha district. i would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the japanese culture and if you want an incredible nice and interesting guide ask for Reon.

Had an amazing experience. Our guide, Ko, was really nice. He mentioned that this was just his 3rd such tour, but was a pro. Gave us a lot of information about the places we visited and also took us through some secret by-lanes. The conversations along the way too were very interesting. Thank you! Would certainly recommend this for anyone looking for a nice evening stroll in Kyoto.

This was such a great tour! Reon was our guide and he was fantastic. he walked at a good pace, had a picture book to show us everything he was talking about and knew soooo much about the topics he was talking on. he was able to answer all the questions. a very exciting part was we got to see a geisha in training (Maiko) walk by and it brought everything to life. Reon was quick to point her out so we didn’t miss the moment. great tour , lots of really cool information and not difficult walking. would highly recommend. was awesome seeing Kyoto at night!

We had a wonderful evening stroll! The lights and atmosphere are unique. Plus, the alleys are less crowded in the evening than during the day. Our guide, Kako, explained a lot to us about the culture and traditions. An absolute recommendation!

We had the honor of having Reon as our guide, who showed us the main temples and shrines of Kyoto. Reon was always very thorough and cleared up a multitude of doubts and questions we had about Shintoism and Buddhism! The tour turned out to be wonderful; moreover, doing it in the evening further enhanced the charm of the city!

Kai is an absolutely phenomenal tour guide! Not only did he show us incredible sights and share a fascinating deep dive into Japanese culture, but he also showed extraordinary kindness to our family. Traveling with an infant can be tough, but Kai went completely above and beyond by helping us carry our baby in the pram up the stairs. He is incredibly knowledgeable and a genuinely wonderful person who made our trip stress free. We cannot recommend him highly enough!

We had a great time on the walking tour with our guide Suzuki. We had chosen the 6pm slot for the tour which we definitely recommend as you got to see Gion as the sun was setting which was beautiful. Suzuki was a very knowledgable guide and being shown around by a student added to the experience as we heard about what it was like to live in Kyoto and we got some great recommendations for places to eat.
