What to expect
Step into the world of Japanese denim craftsmanship and create your own original pair of jeans in Tokyo’s Harajuku district. Using premium Okayama denim, known worldwide for its exceptional quality, you’ll customize details such as patches, buttons, and rivets while learning about authentic Japanese denim culture.
At Daruma Jeans, experienced staff will guide you through part of the jeans-making process using professional tools in a beginner-friendly workshop. Enjoy a unique hands-on experience combining Japanese craftsmanship and modern denim culture.

Such a great experience and a wonderful staff. The location was easy to find as it is right across the street from Harajuku station. Explanation of the jeans and types available along with a bit of the manufacturing was an added bonus. They were very patient with my choices and the details that I wanted on my jeans. The team explained clearly at each step what to do and graciously helped when I made an error with one of my rivets. Keep in mind that embroidery will take time and not a same day event. Check ahead of time or adjust your schedule if you would like embroidery. I will definitely recommend to friends. A great souvenir!
That was a fun workshop to do! Jeans felt like they were good quality and the employees sounded very knowledgeable about the the jeans crafting process. I'm glad I can bring this very unique souvenir from Tokyo!

100% worth it. The jeans themselves are pretty cheap if you go with their base model but if you add one of their nicer patches or get any engraving, they get kind of expensive. However, the experience itself was actually really cool. Getting to put rivets and a button on your jeans is something I've never been able to do before. The jeans themselves are really high quality. Plus, leaving a reviewment I get free initials embroidered on my jeans.
