Beijing Mutianyu Great Wall & Forbidden City Day Tour

We went on a tour with Selina. We booked the trip to the Forbidden City and the Great Wall, including lunch. The Forbidden City was fascinating; Selina shared a lot of interesting details about its history and architecture. The shuttle to the Great Wall ran smoothly, and Selina took excellent care of everything. Lunch at the Great Wall was an all-you-can-eat-and-drink buffet with something for everyone. Selina explained everything clearly; we took the longer slide and the cable car to reach the section of the wall. We were able to book the slide ride through Selina while on the bus. Highly recommended—Mutianyu is beautiful, and the trip was the highlight of our visit!

A flight schedule change left me with only one day to do a guided tour, but wanting to see the Forbidden City and Great Wall made me feel as if I had to choose one or the other...and then I found this tour. I was blown away by how well run the tour was, not feeling rushed at all to see everything. Sure there was less time in each place to read every single placard, hear every single story and hike to every watchtower, but I enjoy a nice overview and this tour hit the basics out of the ballpark. Ana, our guide, was super nice and caring, making sure everyone was accounted for, had all the great wall options they wanted, explained everything logistically in great detail, and told great historical stories of what we were seeing in the Forbidden City. If you only have one day in Beijing, this is the tour to book. Don't settle for one or the other, do both.

The tour was excellent in every respect, a 10/10. The guide was impeccable. Selina was professional and knowledgeable about the history of the monuments. Selina took care of every detail of the tour. We made the most of it, which was perfect for us. The tour program was fantastic, even excellent. Lunch was very tasty with a wide selection of dishes and a sweet dessert. In the morning we visited the Forbidden City and in the afternoon we visited the Great Wall, watching the sunset from the Wall, which gave us the opportunity to take photos in the beautiful evening light. I highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide, Nikki, is fluent in english and very knowledgeable. she shared so many interesting facts and history during the tour. She's also very patient in checking that everyone in the group is properly assisted. If you have limited time in Beijing, combining these 2 major tours is a must!

We had a great day with Yuly as our guide! She did her best to keep the group together and even fought to get a spot for our tickets, which were previously finished for the day. 😂 The price is really reasonable and you can choose diferent options once you are at the Great Wall depending on your preferences. Enough time to see everything if you organize your time well. Really recommended tour!

I was running out of time here in Beijing and was a bit stressed on how to do the Forbidden City and The Great Wall in the same day.
