Reviews
we had a small group tour of the Imperial gardens with Keiko and she did an excellent job of explaining the history of the palace and feudal Japan, and also included some personal stories of her family. The gardens are beautiful and the history is amazing!
My experience on this walking tour with Masa was excellent as he was able to explain all the history and the historical events of the Imperial Palace that took place over hundreds of years ago! I would most definitely recommend Masa to anyone on this tour and would go on another tour for another tour of another site that he would have available in the near future. Thank you Masa and keep up the good work!!
I booked this tour the night before, which was very convenient as I didn't have much time to arrange a tour. There are many choices, but this one is very convenient because you simply book it the night before and have your guide the next day. My guide's name was Keiko, and she is Japanese. She communicated the history of the Imperial Palace very well. I learned a lot from her. She was very kind and charming, and I highly recommend her as your guide.
A comprehensive look at the Palace grounds and the history, plant life, symbols, and culture that surround it. Laura was a great guide and answered all of my questions.
Masa the guide was wonderful, full of knowledge, friendly and professional. The tour went through all the important and interesting sites and gave a Good initial understanding of the era.
I was interested in the history of the Imperial Palace and the Tokugawa family, and this was my first time participating. Ryoko, who was in charge, is a very cheerful and approachable person. Also, she explained everything in an easy-to-understand and polite manner, down to the smallest details. She also handled sudden, on-the-spot questions from foreign tourists visiting Japan with a cheerful attitude, which was cool! My husband and I are talking about changing the course next time and participating again. Ryoko, thank you very much for this time!
This was a great tour of the Imperial Palace east gardens. given how large the area is and how easy it could be to get lost, having someone that knew their way around was ideal. Masa was super friendly and knowledgeable, would absolutely take another tour with him.
I recently had the pleasure of touring the Imperial Palace, and I felt compelled to leave a detailed review because the experience truly exceeded my expectations, largely thanks to my guide, Keiko. From the start, Keiko was incredibly prompt, arriving exactly on time. She was wonderfully welcoming, making me feel at ease immediately. What stood out was her pace; the tour never felt rushed. She took her time at each spot, and it was evident she does this out of a genuine sense of pride for Tokyo and its rich heritage. Keiko was exceptionally kind and friendly, answering every question without hesitation. Her depth of knowledge is impressive, and her delivery is special. We even took a short break for beverages to ensure our comfort, a thoughtful touch showing she prioritizes the guest experience. It is clear that much preparation goes into these tours. With a guide like Keiko, it is an engaging, relaxed conversation. I highly recommend this tour to anyone. It was a total pleasure.
Attended the 10am walking tour of the East Gardens with Inok. Its a stunning walk, alot to get through in the two hours, especially with a bigger group, but still worth the time. Inok was very knowledgable and did great managing our group during a very busy time. He also took time to take some great photos of each family at specific spots, which made for great memories.
Our guide was Ryoko (Rini) and she was amazing! She is very knowledgeable and so sweet. We walked around the Imperial grounds for about 2 hours or so and learned a lot. We even saw a Cherry Blossom tree that had a little bit of blooming even though it's early February! Book this tour! You could walk the grounds yourself, but the tour is worth it because you get to learn while you walk and ask questions to your guide. Plus, it keeps you on track and you don't get lost.
