Yufuin no Mori Train Experience | Beppu Hell Tour + Kyushu Natural Animal Park + Yufuin Day Trip (Chinese and English Guides)

The tour was amazing from start to finish! Our guide Wendy was super kind and funny — she explained everything really well and even offered to take photos of me since I was traveling alone. We started with the Safari instead of Umi Jigoku because the weather was expected to be a bit rainy, and it was a great choice — we saw so many animals! Umi Jigoku was beautiful too, and I absolutely loved the atmosphere of Yufuin Village. The dorayaki our guide Wendy recommended was absolutely delicious! ✨ Highly recommend this experience! 🩷

We joined this tour and chose to take the Yufuin no Mori train back to Hakata, which saved us the hassle of booking tickets in advance. Plus, the Yufuin no Mori departed at 5:15 PM, giving us over an hour more time compared to the group bus departure, which was fantastic! Our tour guide, Ada, was very kind. She explained the itinerary and collected money for admission tickets on the bus. At Kyushu African Safari, she quickly helped us purchase tickets. Although we didn't get to ride the Jungle Bus (it was sold out), watching the wild animal area from the tour bus allowed for clearer photos and better viewing. The entire day's itinerary was very fulfilling; it was a wonderful day trip!

This was my first time participating in a Klook tour, and our guide, Hedy, was fantastic. She was humorous, friendly to children, and made the trip relaxing and enjoyable. She also shared local Fukuoka delicacies with us. The overall itinerary was excellent, and we wished it could have lasted longer. We had a full two hours in Yufuin, and although we didn't get to ride the jungle bus at Kyushu African Safari, we still saw wild animals up close from the tour bus. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends!

We took a bus tour in the morning, and the mountain scenery along the way was absolutely beautiful. Beppu, the animal park, and Yufuin aren't too far apart, offering different vibes, great shopping, and delicious food at each location. Taking the Yufu Mori train on the way back added to the overall richness of the trip. I highly recommend this itinerary; it was fantastic! Next time, I'll consider staying overnight in Yufuin and returning on my own to experience the morning beauty of Kinrin Lake.

The one-day tour to Beppu Hells, Kyushu African Safari, and Yufuin was very fulfilling. The geothermal landscapes at Beppu Hells were spectacular; seeing the steaming hot springs and unique geological formations firsthand truly made me feel the magical power of nature. At Kyushu African Safari, we were able to observe various animals up close in a spacious environment, making it perfect for animal lovers. Finally, we arrived at Yufuin, a town with a relaxed atmosphere, where we strolled through the streets, admired the unique shops and beautiful scenery, bringing a perfect end to the day. Special thanks to our guide, COCO, for her professional leadership and thoughtful care throughout the trip. She not only provided detailed introductions to each attraction but also constantly reminded us of meeting times and important notes, making the entire journey easy and worry-free. What was even more thoughtful was that COCO always proactively helped everyone take photos, assisting us in finding the best angles to capture many precious memories. Her warm and friendly service made the trip even more enjoyable and is one of the best memories of this Kyushu trip. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide, Ms. Natsumi Iwata, was very kind from the start, guiding us onto the bus and introducing the day's itinerary. She explained the unique features and formation of Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell). While visiting Kyushu African Safari, even though we didn't take the jungle bus or experience feeding animals like lions and bears, it was still very enjoyable to watch animals we don't usually see from the air-conditioned tour bus. In the park, she enthusiastically helped us take photos, allowing us to capture memorable moments. Since we were among the few group members returning on the Yufuin no Mori train, Ms. Iwata repeatedly reminded me to arrive at the station early. The entire trip was well-paced, wonderful, and fulfilling, all thanks to Ms. Iwata's guidance.

Due to the winter break, we were unable to book a ride on the zoo's animal-shaped vehicle, but we were still able to observe the animals in each zone of the natural zoo up close on the tour bus. The tour guide thoughtfully arranged for our family to sit in a convenient row to take care of us. Our purchased package included a Yufuin no Mori return ticket, so we left the group early. We needed to allow enough time to walk to the station on our own. Along the way, we could sample many delicacies and even stumbled upon the Kyushu Automobile Museum, which is a great place for kids. The staff on the Yufuin no Mori were very considerate, preparing conductor uniforms and hats for the children, as well as a date plate for the day of travel for free photo opportunities. Overall, an ideal experience!

The wildlife portion was actually quite fun. nice to see the animals run around. Soaking our feet in the hot springs was also very relaxing.

The tour bus was on time and comfortable, even though the meeting time was quite early 😴😴😴 and it rained all day 🙃🙃. But I was able to comfortably catch up on sleep on the bus. Our tour guide, Ada, was flexible with the itinerary. Although we ultimately couldn't get tickets for the Jungle Bus (I had done my research beforehand and knew they were hard to get), it was still nice to sit on the tour bus with the air conditioning and listen to the guide talk about the different animal species and their origins. Since we weren't leaving with the main bus, the guide reminded us how late we could stay, how long it would take to walk to the station, and what areas to be aware of. We had a lot of freedom throughout the day; we didn't have to stick with the guide after getting off the bus. We could arrange our meals, souvenir shopping, and photo opportunities as we pleased, as long as we were back on the bus on time. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.

The itinerary was packed, and I personally felt a bit rushed. I wanted to soak my feet in Beppu Onsen, but I was afraid I wouldn't have enough time. Although I expected not to be able to ride the Jungle Bus at the zoo, the itinerary photos included pictures of riding the Jungle Bus, which could be misleading. I suggest clarifying this in the itinerary description. About 2.5-3 hours in Yufuin, walking, stopping, and eating, felt a little rushed. Perhaps due to peak season, there were many members in the tour group, filling up the tour bus, and some members had to sit separately. The tour guide was very good and gave clear instructions. In the end, I took the Yufuin no Mori back to Hakata on my own. Perhaps because I had high expectations for the Yufuin no Mori, after riding it, I felt it was unique, but once was enough, and I wouldn't need to ride it again next time. Overall, it was good.
