- Yatsushiro Fireworks Festival
The Yatsushiro National Fireworks Competition is one of only three "competitive fireworks festivals" in Japan.
A total of 30 fireworks masters, from Akita in the north to Kagoshima in the south, will compete against each other, launching size 5 and size 10 fireworks, as well as brilliant "Starmine" displays, igniting the night sky! 135 minutes of excitement and awe, from the opening fireworks, music fireworks, corporate-sponsored special effect fireworks, to the grand finale, one highlight after another.
This year's fireworks performance is a special production customized for the "20th Anniversary Special Performance of the New City". To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the birth of the new Yatsushiro City, this year's event will be extra special, with the first-ever "Drone Light Show" + commemorative project performance, adding a unique and brilliant moment to the festival.
