A short walk from Oroku Station. The rental process is simple; just make sure your license allows you to drive a 125cc scooter. The latest return time is 5:30 PM on the same day. There's a gas station next door where you can fill up with regular gasoline. When you return the scooter, the staff will quickly check your gas receipt. The scooter was in great condition. With a scooter, you can easily explore Okinawa. Just be aware that you can't take it on the expressway.

Riding a scooter for the first time in Okinawa was quite a fresh experience. Compared to driving a car, it felt very natural, just like riding in Taiwan, except for riding on the left side of the road. Plus, the pick-up location was conveniently right next to Oroku Station. I'll definitely rent a scooter again next time I visit!

Because I was late for my scheduled pick-up time, I had to contact the owner via LINE and wait for them to arrive. You can purchase insurance on-site. However, the return time being before 5 pm is a bit early. If you're in southern Okinawa or the Naha area, riding a scooter is quite convenient. You need to return the scooter with a full tank of gas and leave the key in the mailbox next to it.

The staff provided excellent service; they were friendly, helpful, and explained everything in detail, even pointing out important traffic rules to be aware of. The pick-up and drop-off process was smooth. During pick-up, we thoroughly inspected for scratches together, and since I purchased insurance (1,650 JPY per day), I was informed not to worry about any new scratches. My only disappointment was that the helmet had a strong odor, suggesting it hadn't been disinfected or deodorized. I recommend bringing your own disposable helmet liner.

The car rental process was smooth. The extra charge for upgrading from 125cc to 155cc was acceptable. Remember to read the contract carefully. When parking, don't just use the side stand, use the center stand as well. When I went to Kouri Island, I accidentally forgot to use the center stand and was too happy taking pictures. As a result, the scooter fell over, scratching the front left side panel and the left bottom panel. I ended up paying 35,000 yen because I didn't report it to the police. I had to pay because of my own negligence, which was unpleasant. What was more unpleasant was that there was no one there when I returned the scooter. There was a notice saying to call someone to come. The official Line account was slow to respond. They originally told me to just leave the keys in the mailbox and leave, but when I sent photos showing the scratches from the fall, they told me to wait a few minutes. From arrival to departure, it took more than half an hour for someone to come and handle it. Be very careful when parking! I spent about 50,000 yen in total for the three days (including the compensation)! 😓
