After the tour, you will need to return to the parking lot on your own for集合. If the original meal cannot be provided, it will be replaced with a Japanese beef set meal of equivalent value. Thank you for your understanding. Escape the city and enter the mountains and rivers of Kyushu! This day trip will take you through Japan’s magnificent gorges and volcanoes, experiencing the power of nature and mythology.

Takachiho Beef Teppanyaki Lunch Taste local Japanese wagyu beef, paired with exquisite side dishes, and enjoy the delicious food. / If you do not eat beef, a vegetarian lunch will be arranged. Please make a note on the order page.
** Second Stop: 🌋 Explore the Mount Aso Volcanic Area If weather permits, ascend to the crater of Mount Aso Nakadake (due to a helicopter accident, this attraction is temporarily closed, and we will extend the time at Kusasenri). Overlook the spectacular view of the smoking volcano and feel the surging power of nature.**

Reviews
the trip was good but unfortunately it was raining. however the itinerary was well planned but a little short of places to visit besides the gorge and Mt Aso. Minna our tour guide was good explaining the locations in both languages. thanks Minna for the guidance and our driver for a safe journey.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Klook day tour to Takachiho Gorge & Mt. Aso. Despite the crowded 8:00 AM meeting point, clear instructions helped us find our excellent guide, Sun Nan, who shared great local insights. Takachiho Gorge was stunning, enhanced by the remaining autumn leaves, and the 30-minute self-rowing boat ride was a fun highlight. While the included beef lunch was standard, we were lucky to have access to the impressive Mt. Aso volcano crater for photos. Kusasenri was mainly a relaxing stop for souvenirs and trying the excellent ice cream, as the grassland was off-season. Note: Due to the distance from Hakata station, the journey is long, resulting in a late return around 6:45 PM. Highly recommend this tour for its amazing natural sights, but be prepared for a full day of travel.
Being the only Thai person on this trip, our guide Emily took great care of me. It made me not worry at all about my first solo tour. Luckily it was sunny in Takachiho, the waterfall was beautiful, and the Mount Aso area was stunning and the atmosphere was like in a movie! Highly recommended 💛 P.S. In December, you should bring the most complete winter gear!
Worth the 3 hours one-way bus ride! Beautiful sights and a smooth, well-organized tour. Takachiho gorge was stunning, Kusasenri plain was serene and to be able to be view Mt Nakadake crater up close was really memorable! and the experience felt relaxing and Special thanks to Emily, our guide, whose friendly approach, clear explanations, and genuine care made the trip even better. Highly recommended!
Takachiho Gorge is truly beautiful! It's really worth taking a boat into the gorge, but it will leave you with less time to take pictures on the shore. Every spot along the path to the restaurant offers incredibly beautiful photo opportunities; every shot looks like it came straight from a Google search! It's definitely worth visiting during the autumn foliage season. Lunch was also delicious and very cost-effective! I would love to visit again and spend a whole day leisurely exploring Takachiho Gorge. The probability of Mount Aso being fully open is 50%, and I was lucky enough to visit the viewpoint closest to the crater that day. I feel so fortunate and happy! But remember to bring windproof and warm clothing; I almost froze in those ten minutes... Our guide, Ella, worked hard to take good care of each of us on the tour. Thank you for your hard work all day!
Highly recommended to take this one-day tour, for the good location pick. The scenery is extremely beautiful. This scenery alone made me feel it was worth waking up at 5:45 AM. Special thanks to the tour guide Ms. Duan. Special thanks to the tour Mrs Ella even though her English speaking is not that good but she tries.
Our trip was simply fantastic! Right from the start, we quickly got to know our travel group and our wonderful companions, Helen and Elli. Both were super dedicated, friendly, and always there for us – they showed us a lot, explained everything, and made the trip a real experience. We saw and experienced so much: The boat trip was dreamy, the excursion to the volcano was unforgettable with a great view, and the lunch was really delicious. Everything was perfectly organized, smooth, and planned with great attention to detail. We can truly recommend this tour to anyone – everything was perfect and we take away many beautiful memories. Many thanks to Helen, Elli, and the entire team for this thoroughly successful trip!
An excellent tour guide and a rich itinerary made for a satisfying experience. Having only three attractions on the itinerary was already quite fulfilling. Besides providing clear explanations and helping with taking photos, the tour guide, Xiao Shuai, also shared a lot of information about Takachiho Gorge and Mount Aso. This allowed travelers to better understand the journey, not just take photos for social media. It's recommended to sign up for the rowing experience to admire Takachiho Gorge up close; the scenery is top-notch when there's sunshine. Mount Aso happened to be fully open today, and with such great weather, the crater could be seen clearly. Kusasenri has a vast grassland where you can take pictures with cows and horses. Many families were having a great time together. There's the Aso Volcano Museum nearby, but unfortunately, there wasn't enough time to visit. Finally, we stopped by a café for coffee, ice cream, and souvenir shopping. Although it's not yet the autumn foliage season, the scenery along the way is beautiful and worth a visit! Transportation Arrangement: The meeting point is convenient, and the driving was safe and smooth throughout the journey. Tour Guide/Leader: Clear Mandarin explanations, rich information, and attentive care. Meal Arrangement: The taste wasn't the best, but the environment and cleanliness were satisfactory. Itinerary Arrangement: The attractions were outstanding, and all arrangements were very smooth. It's very suitable for different people, especially solo travelers. This price includes transportation, meals, and rowing, making it a great value!
The scenery of Takachiho Gorge is breathtaking. The emerald green waters flowing through the gorge, combined with the magnificent rock walls, create a stunning vista. Boating through the gorge is an unforgettable experience, and the feeling of being surrounded by nature is pure bliss. The travel agency we partnered with for this trip was excellent. From the itinerary planning to the on-site service, they were professional and attentive. The entire process was seamless and smooth. The tour guides and staff were also very dedicated, doing their utmost to help us achieve all our travel goals. Even the challenging volcano crater tour was successfully arranged thanks to their careful planning, allowing us to witness the awe-inspiring volcanic landscape firsthand. The entire journey was full of surprises and emotions. Both the natural scenery and the quality of service were incredibly satisfying. I wholeheartedly recommend it to travelers who want to deeply experience the natural beauty of Kyushu.
For my wife and I, who were visiting Japan for the first time, the bus tour was a stroke of genius! We were among the few Koreans amidst a majority of Chinese tourists, but it turned out to be a worry-free trip. Thanks to our guide, who was fluent in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese, we were able to receive detailed and friendly explanations at each stop, making the trip even more enjoyable. Even during transit, the guide entertained us with witty remarks and shared basic knowledge about Japan, creating a cheerful atmosphere on the bus where everyone could laugh together, transcending borders. Next time we come to Fukuoka, we will definitely join a tour with our guide again.
