very magical experience, highly recommended for all to try when you guys visit lake akan. thank you.
Highly recommend this activity! It's perfect to experience a different side of Lake Akan at night after a satisfying dinner. The sound and light effects are exceptionally well done, and I particularly enjoyed the interactive elements! However, I participated alone in mid-October, and it felt like there weren't many people at Lake Akan then. I'm not sure if the staff intentionally arranged for me to join another group (if so, I'm truly grateful!). If I were alone, it would have been a bit too dark, and I probably would have been too scared to walk slowly or might have given up. So, if you're participating alone, especially during the off-season, I recommend choosing a more popular time slot. The staff seemed very friendly! The next morning, I revisited the nighttime walk trail, and it was absolutely beautiful!
A very special experience with amazing sound and lighting effects. You really feel immersed in the story. I recommend learning about the story and culture beforehand to fully engage with the experience.
The magic stick is quite heavy, but it was so good!! I really, really recommend experiencing media art in the forest!
For some reason, there weren't many participants. I signed up for the tour that started at 6:30 PM, and it was just our family of three. A guide led us through the first section, but there was no guide for the second and third sections. Someone was just there to meet us at the third point. Then we had to continue on our own. It was a little scary, and my husband was worried about safety, so we turned back the way we came. It was a bit of a disappointment. If we could know in advance how many people are participating, so everyone could be together, I think the tour would be more fun.
We walked outdoors for about 45 minutes, and there were projections along the way. It felt very fresh and interesting, and the atmosphere created was also quite good. The overall feeling was good.
The main thing is the sound and light effects, but the story plot is only pronounced in Japanese. Although there is a web page to translate the plot, the experience will be a bit worse. The staff is very attentive in running the activities, you can experience it.
The moving route and light and shadow show are great, and you even encounter deer along the way! great experience
