Our guide, Daichi-san is very nice, friendly and sociable with a great sense of humour. He started off with meeting us at a spot closer to our convenience, and checking with us our preferred route that suited our 60-min tour. We had a good time going around the Gion area with him sharing with us stories and little anecdotes of the sights that we probably would not have known if we had walked around by ourselves. He also stopped every now and then to help take quite a number of photos and videos that looked quite professionally done. It was an amazing experience overall and we felt it was worth every yen we paid for the tour. We would definitely recommend this activity, and especially, Daichi-san as the tour guide for anyone who would like to try this rickshaw tour experience.
We had an unforgettable experience with the Kyoto Higashiyama Rickshaw Tour. Our guide, Motoki Kageyama, was incredibly kind, respectful, and full of positive energy throughout the entire tour. He made sure my daughter felt special and made the experience even more meaningful with his thoughtful drawings and notes. The tour route was beautiful and relaxing, and we learned a lot along the way. Still, highly recommended and many thanks again to Motoki-san. We will never forget this! This Kyoto Higashiyama rickshaw tour was a wonderful and unforgettable experience for our family. Our guide, Motoki Kageyama, was very kind, polite, and always had a smile on his face. He was also kind to our daughter Yaren, and we were truly touched to receive special illustrations and messages from him. The tour route was very beautiful, relaxing, and informative. Thank you very much, Motoki! We will never forget this memory.
The rickshaw tour is definitely a must-try option in Kyoto. It offers an extraordinary and immersive experience that familiarizes tourists with different aspects of Kyoto: for tourists who expect good photos and more local travelling information, the driver will give us the best recommendations for an easier and more well-plan trip; for travelers who expect an in-depth experience in this old capital of Japan, the driver could also share information and knowledge about the history, culture and language of Kyoto. My rickshaw driver, Yoshinori Ishikawa-san, demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm and professionalism for this 2-hour ride: conversations with Ishikawa-san was easy and pleasing, which definitely gave me a lingering satisfaction in travelling Kyoto; his professional photographic and filming skills also enriched my impressions of this city. In a nutshell, this tour was incomparable and its uniqueness definitely defined the image of Kyoto in my mind! Highly recommended!
My husband and I truly enjoyed our time riding rickshaws with Gohan. He is well-educated and knows how to create a joyful experience for us.
It's a little unusual to be pulled along by someone. At the same time, the guide always makes you feel like this is okay. What's more, he seems to be doing it with genuine conviction. He conveyed his enthusiasm for Kyoto and its shrines and temples brilliantly. He accommodated our every need, sometimes even exceeding it. A truly fantastic experience; we enjoyed every minute. Thank you so much!
A very kind guy who speaks a little Chinese and English. He took us to visit many private attractions of the locals and took a lot of photos for us. He was very stable and did not shake when pulling the car. He also kept warm. He was really considerate.
A very nice way to see Kyoto and have really nice photos taken along the ride. Our rider was really friendly and told us many fun facts about the attractions we saw during the rickshaw ride. We went during the cherry blossom season, so the view was amazing and felt very tranquil. Also a good way to rest after a long day of exploring Kyoto on foot.
Well worth it, I highly recommend everyone to try it! Because I brought my parents, I hope they do n’t get too tired to play, so I ordered an hour of rickshaw service. When we arrived at the stronghold, Mr. Hirota Ichita greeted us. His bright smile was very friendly. He used simple Chinese to greet us and narrowed each other's distance. We booked 3 cars, Mr. Ichida, Mr. Takuto, and Mr. Ohara Shinya. There were drizzles on the day. Before I got on the car, I was a bit worried about whether the rain would affect the itinerary. Mr. Ichida Immediately display the roof that can be covered, and the legs will be covered with tarpaulin. Because the weather is colder on the day, there are pre-heated warm bags and two blankets on the seat cushion, so we can start with complete peace of mind. stroke,. I ’m riding a Takuto. Takuto ’s English is very good. Even if I do n’t understand the tone, I can patiently switch to other descriptions to describe to us. We were also worried that he was too tired to ask about the situation during the journey. The smiley reply to our "it's ok!" Made people feel Takuto's enthusiasm for this job, and thank you very much for having Takuto's professional commentary and leadership, so that we can tour Kyoto more easily. On the same day, Mr. Ohara carried my father and mother. During the trip, I learned that Mr. Ohara had just been practicing for more than 2 years, and his father's posture was less standard. I felt that Mr. Ohara was too hard during the trip. I hope it has not caused Mr. Ohara's physical discomfort. During the process, you can find that the cars are quite neat, and the iron parts are clean and shiny. In addition, when taking pictures during parking, the driver will help to remove the tarpaulin, so that the picture looks better, and people can fully respect the profession. And careful. Thank you very much for the service provided by Ebisuya. Although the price was not low when you ordered it, you can clearly feel it after the experience. The hard work and professionalism of the driver are well worth it!
Great rockshaw ride, my only regret is only booking for 30 mins. I enjoyed the sightseeing of Gion district with a very knowledgeable guide, Daichi was amazing! He was excellent at navigating the small alleyways of Gion. And super fast as well. Awesome conversation and strong English! Thank you so much!
The experience with the traditional rickshaw in Japan was unique from the very first moment. During the ride, Moto made the experience truly special. He spoke incredibly fluent English, which made communication very easy and comfortable, and allowed him to explain everything with great clarity. He was extremely informative and always tried to give as detailed explanations as possible, about Japanese culture. Every question I had, he genuinely knew how to answer, and in a way that showed deep knowledge and real passion for what he does. What impressed me the most was that he was also familiar with elements from my home country, which made the conversation even more interesting and engaging. This was not just a ride, but a truly authentic cultural experience. I highly and enthusiastically recommend it! You should definitely try this specific rickshaw experience and make sure to ask for Moto at this spot — it is absolutely worth it.
