decent area, clean in general though some smell of cigaret despite booking non smoking room. shared kitchen space was good. only issues I had were 1- a socket in the room started sparking. I reported this. 2- the WiFi signal was weak and would cut out. would benefit from extra routers I suspect. building was 3 floors (street level being floor 1) and it was stairs with no lift worth noting if your bags are heavy. location was great as could easily walk or take very short bus trip to : manga museum, various shrines, a castle, samurai museum, local market. overall I enjoyed my stay but wished the WiFi was better which as far as complaints go is pretty minor and easy fix
