This was a great location, we stayed in a double bed room for two people. The unit had the shower, toilet, and sink separated from each other. Very clean and spacious. This was off a main road with various food and convinience store locations near by. The train stations and bus stops were abiut 5-8 min walking. They had self check in and out counters. This location also had washer dryers available. These machines only took coins of 100 yen or various digital payment options, one being the sucia card. The room had an adjustable thermalstat.

This hotel offers a wonderful, "chill" escape just one station away from the chaos of downtown Kyoto. The location is incredibly convenient—only a 2-minute walk to both bus and train stations, including a direct line to Arashiyama. Having a large supermarket nearby was a huge plus for daily essentials! • Service: Most staff members are professional and kind. However, the breakfast service could be improved, as the staff there was less welcoming than the front desk. Major kudos to the housekeeper! • Amenities: Very minimal. I recommend visiting the nearby Daiso for any extra daily necessities. • Bonus: They offer a complimentary breakfast to all guests.

My friend and I came to Japan with no plans or reservations. Picked Prince Smart because of affordability and proximity to transportation. We initially planned only 3 nights and then continued to rebook at this hotel. Before we knew it, we had stay 10 nights at this hotel. Super convenient, clean and the staff was helpful and very kind (our Japanese was not good, so we appreciated the patience and understanding). Breakfast was adequate enough to start us off for the rest of the day. Would recommend.
