We had an amazing time on our tour. Our guide Sue Yee was very informative and fun, and Max was a very good driver. we saw proboscis monkeys and fireflies, and the fried bananas were a tasty snack!

Our tour guide, Xiao Chen, was very friendly and explained everything clearly. During the journey, he taught us a lot about the ecosystem of the Kawa mangroves and also helped us take many photos. He thoughtfully prepared raincoats and binoculars for us, in case we got wet and to help us see the gibbons/kingfishers more clearly. He even treated us to coconut pudding, which was very hospitable. It was truly a great experience.

overall very good experience, the bus going there aircon was not working at its best. But the bus coming back was much better.

originally booked this tour last minute mainly for the fireflies, but due to typhoon they had to cancel it and transfered us to a different tour— Kawa Kawa Tour which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! still with fireflies and river cruise but with additional farm tour with animal feeding and sunset at the beach! i’d like to commend our tourguide Adeor for making this trip memorable and fun! he lets us borrow his binoculars and has prepared raincoats just incase it rains. we were with an elderlu couple and he’s very attentive to their needs and takes photos of the animals just to show them. which is very sweet! he even took great photos and vidoes of the fireflies!

We are lucky to have bumped into 2 types of monkies, the long-tailed macaque and the proboscis, though the proboscis is a bit far from sight as they often climb up to the tree top. We are also lucky enough to see the baby crocodile, numerous bird species and even a monitor lizard lying on a coconut tree! The trip is amazing that we do not want to leave the boat! We wish to have more time on the river! Also hope that the raincoat could be included for the tour since when we arrive, it was pouring rain and we have to buy the raincoat from the local store. For other facilities like the toilet, it was better than expected. Food is not bad though not much variety. Tour guide is ok. Overall a good day spent in the countryside of Kota Kinabalu and would recommend to people who love to be in nature and wildlife.

We were able to experience the lifestyles and food of each tribe. The guide's explanations were easy to understand, and he shared various stories about Sabah during our travels, so we weren't bored at all.

Mr. Sulani, our guide and driver, was very kind and excellent. When we saw water buffalo walking along the way, he stopped to explain things to us, and he also provided various explanations throughout the journey. Jeffrey, our cruise guide, was a veteran with extensive knowledge, which made us feel very comfortable participating. We saw water buffalo, proboscis monkeys, long-tailed macaques, crocodiles, hornbills, and fireflies. The banana fritters at tea time were delicious, and the dinner buffet was also excellent! Plus, we arrived back at the hotel at 9:10 PM, which was great since we had children with us!

eddie, our tour guide is an amazing guy. made the entire trip experience funny and memorable. his knowledgeable too and shares his thoughts well. overall, this is a good one, recommended.

It was a very enjoyable trip, big thanks to our guide, Sue Yee and driver, Max. Sue Yee gave very good explanations about the tour, and the food prepared by the locals was very good! Although Weston Wetlands is a distance away from the city, about 2-2.5 hours away, it was well worth it! Less crowd compared to other locations, we spotted a lot of monkeys (proboscis, silver-faced, long-tailed), birds and crocodiles. Firefly trip in the evening was very beautiful! Highly recommended!
