This time the room was really nice, very clean, and it was my first time staying on such a high floor 😊 I really enjoyed the view and the room type. Hopefully next time you can arrange a similar floor and room type for me again.
The only small issue was the hair dryer — it seems quite old and sometimes not working properly. It would be great if the hotel could consider upgrading it. Overall, still had a very pleasant stay. Thank you!

Didn’t expect it to be such a luxurious stay. The staff were all very nice and patient. There were complimentary meals served in the late afternoon and even supper, which was a pleasant surprise. Not sure if it was due to the room I booked. This is the first hotel I’ve given a full 5 stars—very satisfied with my pickiness haha.

At first I hesitate to book Excelsior after reading the reviews. But the location is really fantastic. We walk to Gerbang Malam, Ipoh Old Town and Ipoh Parade. All the popular dim sum, chicken/beansprouts, YTF, etc are just around the hotel. This “old” hotel has bigger (22 sqm) size room as compared to others. The hotel has been renovated and it’s so pleasant and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast too. Also the staff are so courteous. I have no regrets staying at Excelsior for 4 nights. Recommended 💕

it was a wonderful place with great service by staff and thoughtfulness of design of the resort. we were well received by Bella and oriented us to the different places in the resort with the buggy. we visited almost everywhere in the resort and enjoyed the pools in the villa. the dip pools were great too and Dr Fish and the reflexology stones. Both Pomelo and Jeff’s Cellar were great dining areas and the visit to the private cellar was a treat. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a getaway and I heard a big mall is coming up by end of 2026.

This is a new hotel, so everything is new and clean. The staff are overall friendly, with good breakfast spread. They even organised kids party during the new year period, which was great. The location is a bit far from city centre, which means you have to take a Grab if you want to go to town. It is a short ride of around 15 mins and the cost is now hight, so it is ok if you prefer a quieter place.
