Things to do in Fukuoka Prefecture

We had a wonderful time on our trip to Takachiho George, despite the unfortunate cancellation of our boat ride due to the rising tide, which we had no control over. Apart from that, all the places we visited, starting with the majestic Mt. Aso, the serene Kamishikimi Shrine, and the breathtaking Takachiho George, were truly picturesque. Japan has truly blessed us with its stunning natural beauty. Our tour guide, Nicole Yang, was incredibly helpful and made our trip enjoyable. She speaks both English and Mandarin fluently, and her English is good, making it easy for us to understand her. The travel time from Hakata to Mt. Aso or Takachiho George is approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours. Please remember to bring some food, as the journey can be quite long. However, the trip will stop on the expressway both ways to Hakata, so you’ll have a chance to use the restroom. We hope to book this trip again in the future and finally get to ride the boat! 😇

I do not speak Mandarin Chinese, only English. but the guide Kong was so helpful and she is friendly. she tries her best. I recommend the tour. there was not any other English tour I could find so I came here. It was amazing. we were unfortunately unable to ride the train as it was storming and with the rain, no one could ride the boat + cannot go on the mount aso as it is closed. despite this, it was a really good experience in the end. I highly recommend it.

The tour package made our trip convenient. Our guide Jimmy was very enthusiastic and made the tour more enjoyable even with the rainy weather. The Yufuin no Mori train is a must to experience, and luckily the rain stopped during our ride (delayed but it was a blessing in disguise). For us, the itinerary was well planned with ample time to explore each destination. Make sure to bring a pair of slippers if you want to try the foot bath in Umijigoku. We really enjoyed our trip, thank you!

First time in Fukuoka, our tour guide Zeal was very friendly. Although it was raining, at every stop, he still get off to take photos for us. The seafood lunch was very nice. When a fellow group member was accidentally injured while eating, Zeal also did his best to help find some healing ointment. Good👍🏻

Today's day trip was rich and exciting, including the Takachiho sightseeing train, which is suitable for both adults and children, Amano Iwato Shrine's West Main Shrine, and the stunningly beautiful Takachiho Gorge. Our tour guide, Ada-san, was very professional, engaging, and humorous! She not only enthusiastically filmed beautiful videos for everyone but also vividly explained the myths and legends of Amano Iwato, giving us a deeper understanding of the local culture. When visiting Takachiho Gorge, she also accompanied everyone deep into the canyon to admire the picturesque waterfalls and natural scenery. Furthermore, Ada-san recommended many local specialty foods and allocated ample time for each attraction, allowing everyone to leisurely experience the charm of Takachiho. This trip not only brought us beautiful scenery and knowledge but also helped us easily achieve our health goal of 10,000 steps! If you are planning a family trip to Kyushu, I highly recommend choosing Ada-san as your tour guide. She is meticulous, thoughtful, and experienced, capable of planning your itinerary and providing high-quality, attentive guided services, ensuring you create wonderful and unforgettable memories.

It was so good, when we went, there were a few people. Maybe we were lucky to avoid the crowds and had a chill walk around the aquarium. There was a seal performance, it was so cute to see them that close. You can also feed them, if you buy food next to their place. It has become one of our favourite aquarium in Japan.

We waited about 40 minutes to get up to the tower, but it worth it. The view was magnificent, you can see the beautiful sea and landscape. Wish they could find a faster way to enter the tower. We even had to wait to the elevator when went down about 25 minutes. We almost late our restaurant reservation.

we were the only ones who booked through Klook so we had the entire boat & guide to ourselves (pure luck!). our guide is a local and could speak English well, he could even sing in English! the entire experience was very fun, having to cruise through the canals which gave off really zen vibes. recommend to go for the earliest slots for the pleasant weather and looser crowds. we waited patiently in the lobby before the ride for our guide to identify us. the hotel lobby have loads to shop as well.

I can't believe how easy it was to book tickets in Korea! The view from our seats was great, and the curved scoreboard was especially impressive. It felt like playing a PlayStation game! It was a feast for the eyes. It was a valuable experience to witness a baseball culture different from Korea's. There were many other foreigners like me in my section too!
