Dear friends, get ready to embark on a wonderful journey! Please follow our guide and depart from near Fukuoka Hakata Station to start a surprising one-day trip to Itoshima!
First Stop: Shiraito Falls Take a special car to “Shiraito Falls”, watch the water flow like silk, stroll along the forest path, breathe in plenty of negative ions, and instantly feel refreshed!
Second Stop: Raizan Sennyoji Daihio-in Temple This thousand-year-old temple offers a serene Zen atmosphere where you can pray or transcribe sutras (depending on availability). Highlight: There is a huge ginkgo tree in the temple, which is stunningly golden in autumn!
Third Stop: Romantic Coconut Tree Swing The swing uses tall coconut trees as natural supports, with lush green coconut leaves spreading overhead. When the wind blows, it gently sways with a faint coconut scent. When you gently swing on the swing, your view will slowly rise, allowing you to see the expansive scenery around you – perhaps the distant blue sky and sea, or nearby tropical greenery. As you sway, it feels as if all your stress is left behind.
Fourth Stop: Sakurai Futamigaura Meoto Iwa (Married Couple Rocks) In the afternoon, check in at the romantic “Meoto Iwa” and the pure white torii gate, waiting for the sunset to dye the bay golden. Couples must lock a love lock and make a beautiful wish~
Fifth Stop: Totoro Forest Trail Explore the “Totoro Forest Trail” at Keya no Ohto, a green secret realm that feels like stepping into Miyazaki’s fairy tale world! Check in with the adorable Totoro statues and take healing photos~
Sixth Stop: Fukuoka Tower & Seaside Park Ascend Fukuoka Tower for a 360° panoramic view of the city and coastline. The night view is as brilliant as a galaxy, perfectly concluding the one-day trip! (During June 29th - June 30th, it will be changed to Hakata Port Tower) During the cherry blossom season (usually late March to early April, specific dates subject to actual blooming conditions), the itinerary will be adjusted to visit [Fukuoka Castle Ruins & Maizuru Park] for cherry blossom viewing. The original [Fukuoka Tower & Seaside Park] attraction will no longer be visited. We appreciate your understanding.
Tips: Shiraito Falls and Totoro Forest Trail require walking. It is recommended to wear non-slip sports shoes / hiking boots and light long pants (to prevent insect bites). The wind is strong at Fukuoka Tower and along the coast, so you can prepare a light jacket; pay attention to sun protection in summer (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), and wear warm clothing in winter. Keep quiet when entering temples, do not use flash when taking photos, and do not step on the grass in the autumn foliage area.

For attractions like Itoshima, where there are distances between sights and you need to get on and off a vehicle frequently, joining a tour is the best option if you're not driving! Since I don't drive, I'm really glad I chose this method. I was able to visit all the must-see, must-eat, and must-photograph spots in Itoshima without wasting any time! Our tour guide, Helen, was also very professional, fluent in Chinese, English, and Japanese. Her pre-trip introduction was very detailed, and she was very friendly throughout the tour, even helping us take photos. The two beaches and Meoto Iwa (Couple Rocks) in Itoshima are truly beautiful! The weather was great, and the sea breeze was very pleasant. We were lucky enough to eat at Itoshima Seafood Hall, which usually has a very long wait (not recommended for large groups as you'll wait a long time). Shiraito Falls was cool and refreshing under the morning sun, with the invigorating scent of phytoncides. Sennyoji Temple was very peaceful, with plenty of shade to keep cool, and possessed a classic, traditional Japanese solemnity. The walk up to the observation deck in Totoro Forest wasn't far, just a slight uphill climb. The path, with sunlight filtering through, felt truly mysterious and charming. If you want to see Fukuoka Tower lit up at the end, you can stay behind and return on your own. The itinerary is safe and flexible. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who doesn't drive!
We have booked this trip on last moment night before while on our honeymoon :) every stop was very nice and beyond our expectations. we have visited shrine and have ceremony with monk. Visited shiraito falls and tried noodles running through Bamboo and grilled fish 🐟 👌🏼. Ichiran ramen factory was another point where you could try original ichiran ramen 🍜. Sakurai Futamigaura Tori gate and Meoto Iwa definitely need to be visited while in Fukuoka. Recomending this tour to all my friends when planning to Fukuoka. Our guide spoke English and Chinese and explain everything, recommend things about upcomming trips and helped as well with taking picks. Very nice person :)All super for us with my partner ❤️

Our tour guide was Mina for this tour! She was so amazing she set up the expectation for the tour at the beginning, explained each spot with detail, and made everyone feel included! I loved this tour with all of the nature aspects from the beach to the forests we saw :) In Itoshima City, I totally recommend getting the Tempura Resturant near the Surf Shop! 10/10 recommend!!
Very fun trip! I was one of two english speakers in a bus full of Chinese speaking tourists, but everything went smoothly! The itinerary, the time for each spot, and our guide Mao made sure to include English instructions and explanations every time. Itoshima and Fukuoka was so beautiful, I’d love to go back again ine day. This was my first time to join a group tour and am very happy with it!
Tour guide Lin received us, very meticulous and gentle. It was a last-minute trip, but it turned out to be unexpectedly good. The scenery is very good, there are 6 attractions in a day, and the itinerary is well-arranged.👍 He takes pictures of me when I travel alone. We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to Itoshima. Our tour guide, Sun, was very accommodating. He even offered to take all of our pictures at each of the sites. His English was also really good. He was worried that his English was not good, but we understood him perfectly. The tour was very fun, and it was a beautiful day. We took lots of pictures and highly recommend it.
Our tour guide, Ms. Xiao Ou, enthusiastically introduced the attractions, and she also gave us extra time to eat at Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks), where there's an incredibly delicious eel rice restaurant. I hope to visit again! 😍 For places like Fukuoka Tower, it's best to buy tickets online in advance so you don't have to wait in line to buy them on the spot. The Totoro Forest Path is not easy to walk, and the path is very stuffy and hot. If you don't want to hike, you can take pictures of the shrine and the coastline nearby. I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and light clothing. Overall, the trip went smoothly, and I highly recommend everyone to join! 😀
