Transport in Taitung

The owner is super friendly and responds very quickly to any questions via LINE. The location is right next to Taitung Train Station; just turn right after exiting and you'll see it in less than five minutes. The vehicles are in excellent condition, and they provide three-quarter helmets, not just skullcaps! They even include shower caps, which is a very thoughtful touch. There are two raincoats in the scooter trunk. Before renting, take a photo of the dashboard mileage and license plate and send it to the owner via LINE; do the same when returning the scooter. The scooter is provided with a full tank of gas, and it should be returned with a full tank. The owner is a great guy, and I'll definitely rent from him again when I go to Taitung. Highly recommended.

I had fun exploring Southern Taiwan with this 3 day pass. Very easy to use, it comes with a booklet that you'll get from the HSR counter. You can book your HSR in advance through the website, can even change your time of departure when you go to the counter. My accomodation is in Taipei and the day trips in Taichung and Tainan was just a breeze. HSR also provides free shuttle bus between HSR station to the main city, just research for the bus number. You have to go through the staff at the gates to pass through, they will inspect the booklet. I'll comeback to explore more of South Taiwan!

we had a great experience with the wax figure celebrity. very realistic and although it’s wax it’s like we’ve seen them in person. we brought a stroller for our toddler, we had to bring it with us going down/up bec they won’t allow us to leave it but overall it was such a nice experience and we got the B1G1 ticket

We went to Lanyu and took the Venus ferry. The captain was probably young and liked to show off. He rushed out to sea and caused the boat to shake violently. Many people vomited. The whole trip was not comfortable (although I didn't vomit). The oil smell in the Venus was also very strong. On the return trip, we took the Green Island Star No. 3. The captain's skills were amazing. We felt relaxed and comfortable all the way. Even though it was raining heavily in the open sea, his skills and control were evident. The boat was odorless and relatively new. We were very happy and joyful on the return trip. There were also seagulls accompanying us.

We had a really great time with our driver and the tour. The car was clean and the ride was smooth. The locations were all very interesting and the time spent at each one was adequate. The driver was friendly, considerate, and knowledgeable. Taitung is a beautiful place and we look forward to do another tour next time to explore more.

On the day, we took the blue-skinned Jieyou train from Fangliao to Taitung. The guide was friendly and professional, and the explanations were lively and humorous. He also helped us take photos. There were retro fans and night light tunnels in the car, which were very atmospheric. There were lunch boxes and fruits on the way out, and snacks and black tea on the way back. We stopped at Jinlun Station on the way to experience the tribal culture. The scenery along the way was beautiful, especially the East Coast and sunset on the way back were unforgettable. It was a relaxing and warm healing journey.

Renting a scooter is the most convenient way to explore Green Island. There are many scooter rental shops, the procedures are simple, and pick-up is quick. The shops also provide maps and itinerary suggestions. Riding a scooter along the coastal highway, enjoying the sea breeze and ocean views, is very relaxing. Some sections of the road are steep, so it is recommended to choose a scooter with sufficient power. Before riding, be sure to check the fuel level and brakes to ensure safety.

The driver always contacted us in advance to arrange the pick-up location and carefully and safely took us to our destination. This time, we rode in a spacious and comfortable, new Mercedes-Benz 9-seater.
