boarded the ferry from Helsinki and the guide was waiting at a prominent area upon exiting the ferry in Tallinn. Sergei was our guide and he has such a good sense of humour. he makes a lot of effort to connect with the guests on the tour to help them contextualise the point he was trying to illustrate by giving examples of the various countries. he is highly knowledgeable and answers our questions happily. very attentive to guests needs as well. he even recommended us several Estonian restaurants serving authentic food and cautioned us of certain ‘traps’ that might not be authentic. Tallinn old town is charming and worth a visit if you’re into medieval towns . definitely 10/10, highly recommended!

Tallinn is a truly magnificent city! I felt like I was walking inside a fairy tale about elves and dwarves. Our guide, Max, he was very good and so kind heart. Before this, I know nothing about Estonia or Tallinn history, but he explained everything so simple and easy to understand. I can ask many questions and he always give me clear, very detailed answers. He really know the history and lead the tour very professional. I feel a bit sad because I stay in Tallinn for only 1 day. I really want to come back here again. Highly recommend this tour! I got so many useful tips from him.

It's close to the mall, and there's also a fruit stand nearby (the really cheap kind). Upstairs, there's a market with many food stalls. It's truly a one-stop shop, making it a very convenient place for foreigners who have just arrived in Tallinn.

What to know before visiting Tallinn

Quick snapshot of Tallinn’s visitor mix and seasonality

Tallinn’s top activities on Klook are Tours, Attraction passes, and Observation decks, so the city suits travellers who enjoy sightseeing, guided walks and panoramic viewpoints. Demand peaks in July and drops toward December, giving the year a clear high-season rhythm centred on summer bookings.

Best months to visit and how prices move

Klook data show July as the busiest month and December as the quietest. Prices trend differently through the year: activity prices are typically lowest in June and highest in February, with notable jumps into late winter and some volatility in spring and autumn. If you want smaller crowds and generally lower prices, consider travelling in June or the low-demand months around December; if you want that peak summer atmosphere and the fullest range of tours and passes, visit in July. Price and demand diverge at times — the priciest month by booking prices is February while the busiest month for bookings is July — so pick dates based on whether atmosphere or bargain prices matter more to you.

Tips for travellers from Singapore

Most travellers from Singapore typically book about a week in advance, with some securing things further out and last-minute options often available a day before. For a short trip you can be flexible and book popular tours or attraction passes a few days to a week ahead; if you plan to travel in July, book earlier to secure your preferred time slots. Use Klook to compare passes and guided tours so you can lock in activities that match your itinerary without overplanning.
