I couldn't rate this experience highly enough. our instructor Jib was an absolute delight. We had 4 different nationalities in our class and she made our whole class feel included and important. The instructions were simple to follow and the food was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be making some of these foods back home in Australia.

I highly recommend Mango Cooking School to anyone who wants an authentic and fun Thai cooking experience. The class was very well organized, and the instructor was friendly, patient, and excellent at explaining each step clearly. Even if you’re a beginner, you’ll feel confident cooking Thai food here. We cooked several classic Thai dishes using fresh ingredients, and everything tasted amazing. What I loved most was how hands-on the class was, you really get to cook, not just watch. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and enjoyable from start to finish. If you’re deciding which cooking school to choose in Thailand, pick Mango Cooking School. It’s educational, fun, and absolutely worth it. I’m excited to recreate these Thai dishes at home!

Cooking and exploring the market with Jeab and the other “classmates” made for such a wonderful memory. Jeab has extensive knowledge of vegetables, fruits, and all kinds of cooking ingredients. She’s always patient, happy to answer every question, and has a great sense of humor too. If you’re interested in Thai food, I would absolutely recommend this cooking class.

I enjoyed this experience the best. our instructor was very engaging and very informative. She made sure to make the cooking experience fun. She also encouraged everyone to participate not only in the preparation of the meal, but also in the whole activity - from going to the market to buy the ingredients upto enjoying the meals prepared by us. I would definitely recommend this activity to friends who will travel to Bangkok.

I saw it on YouTube and it looked so great that I hesitated before going. I regret the time I spent hesitating! It was a really, really great time, and they told me about each ingredient when we went to the market! The time spent at the market was so fulfilling! Knowing as much as you do, after experiencing unfamiliar spices because I knew the ingredients, Thai food tasted even better! That's why I recommend it as the first course of your trip to Thailand! The students who took the class with me said it was the best cooking class they had ever taken! We were lucky >.<!! Thank you so much to our Chef Phatthiya🩷 for being so kind and cheerful! I definitely want to visit again and work with you! Thank you so much for making it such a wonderful and happy time 🩷 Come to Udom Suk, full of happiness 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

It was a very nice cooking class with professional guidance and a very well-equipped kitchen. I had a lot of fun cooking and we laughed a lot together. The staff is very helpful, giving many helpful tips, both at the market and while cooking or preparing the ingredients. The food was very tasty and was original, just as you would want it. I will visit the course again before my departure and then I will try 5 more dishes. Definitely a 5-star recommendation from me in all areas. Thank you for the wonderful result.

When you visit Bangkok, the Grand Palace is a must-see. It’s the city’s most famous landmark, home to Wat Phra Kaew, or the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. The golden roofs and detailed Thai architecture show Bangkok’s royal history and rich cultural heritage.

Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)

Across the Chao Phraya River from the Grand Palace, Wat Arun is one of the most beautiful temples in Bangkok. You can climb its tall central tower for amazing city views, especially during sunrise or sunset when the temple glows in the light.

Chatuchak Weekend Market

Shop like a local at Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok’s most famous shopping spots. With thousands of stalls, you’ll find clothes, art, plants, and souvenirs. Don’t forget to try the local street food, from mango sticky rice to coconut ice cream.

Khao San Road

For a taste of Bangkok’s nightlife, head to Khao San Road. The street is filled with bars, live music, and food stalls that stay open late. It’s also a nice place to meet other travelers and experience Bangkok’s energetic atmosphere.

Tips before visiting Bangkok

1. Stay Connected with an eSIM

Before arriving in Bangkok, set up a Thailand eSIM so you can easily use maps, translation apps, and rideshare services like Grab. You can buy one online before your trip or at Bangkok International Airport. Having internet access makes getting around the Bangkok metropolis much easier.

2. Dress Code at Religious Sites

When visiting Bangkok’s temples, like the Grand Palace or Wat Pho, you must dress modestly. Cover your shoulders and knees, and avoid sleeveless tops or short skirts. Respecting the dress code shows appreciation for Thai culture and local traditions.

3. Greeting Customs

The traditional Thai greeting is the wai, you press your palms together and give a small bow. You’ll often see this gesture when meeting locals or thanking someone in Bangkok. It’s a polite and respectful way to connect with people during your visit.

4. Tipping Practices

Tipping isn’t required in Bangkok, but it’s always appreciated. Leave small change for good service at restaurants, hotels, or taxis. Even a small tip shows gratitude and helps support the friendly service culture in Bangkok.

5. Market Haggling

Shopping at places like Chatuchak Weekend Market or Patpong Night Market is a fun part of visiting Bangkok. Bargaining is normal, so don’t be shy to negotiate politely for a better price.
