It was a pleasant experience. My route was from Krabi to Koh Tao. I arrived at check-in at 7:20 AM. Keep in mind that luggage can weigh up to 20 kg (if it weighs more, you'll be charged extra). Exchanging for the ticket was quick; just show the QR code from the app. The journey from Krabi to the port was by minivan and was comfortable. Afterward, we switched to the ferry. By mistake, I went up to the second floor, which was the VIP lounge. It has better seats and the air conditioning feels stronger. An employee approached us and charged us 200 baht extra. I paid it because it was worth it (otherwise, you could go down to the first floor). The ferry made two stops before reaching my destination. It's important to pay attention to the announcements over the ferry's loudspeaker. In the end, I arrived in Koh Tao at 2:20 PM.
My travel with Lomprayah was great. Ferry staffs were friendly and helpful. It would be smothier if there was no ferry change fron Koh Phangan to Koh Tao because it took a time but it can be understood.
We took the ferry from Koh Tao. The logistics at the island's port were a bit chaotic due to the number of tourists, so just pay attention to your ferry's departure time. The VIP bus was immaculate, very comfortable, and they gave us water, a blanket, juice, and a pastry. After 3 hours, we made a 30-minute stop to eat or use the restroom, and then continued our journey to Bangkok.
Great ferry, everything on time. The VIP bus is highly recommended, it comes with a muffin, water and juice and a blanket
safe and sound trip, booking thru klook application. slight delayed with bus and ferry but that's understandable because of its holiday season. but overall great experience!!
6:30 PM Check-in Opens - 8:45 PM Departure - 1:45 AM Rest Stop - 2:15 AM Departure - 4:45 AM Pier Arrival / 6:45 AM Boarding - 8:30 AM Koh Nang Yuan - 8:45 AM Koh Tao. The above times are approximate under normal weather conditions. The VIP bus is worth the extra money; you'll sleep much better.
Good, wide seats, comfortable to sit on. There is a battery charger on the car. There was a box set of snacks and water, and 1 blanket. The car on the day we went broke down in the middle of the road. But the company managed to fix it well. Overall, it's good. You can get to the boat.
You check in at the port and get your ticket. The ship is quite delayed, as is typical in Thailand. After disembarking, you check in for the bus again at the port, receive a colored sticker, and your ticket will have your seat number written on it. The color of this sticker corresponds to the bus you are riding on. On the way, you can stop at a service area-like place and get a snack. We got stuck in traffic and arrived about 2 hours late. It is recommended that you stand with plenty of time for those behind you.
The ferry is very fast and comfortable, they offered tickets by bus to the hotel. All was good, I recomend it.
Greeted by staff at fhe train station, a 20min ish van ride from Chumphon station to the pier. The ferry to Koh Tao is around 2hrs — there was some rain so the sea was slightly choppy and I felt a bit seasick, so take meds if you’re worried!
