Fantastic 5.0
It was pretty good! The flow of people at the site was very smooth, and before getting into the water, they briefly explained the swimming route. The guide initially said that if you got tired, you could rest, and verbally told us which areas we couldn't go into (because they were too deep). I thought it would be fine to just follow the guide, but he barely stopped, so if you don't keep up with him, you'll fall behind. You pretty much have to keep swimming until you reach a crevice where he'll take a photo for you, and then you'll loop back to another landing point. It's about a 1.5-hour swim with few breaks. Once you get out, they give you an energy bar and hot chocolate. The guide was very nice. If I had more stamina, I would have enjoyed it even more! Also, one of my companions had water get into their drysuit and was very cold halfway through the swim, so if possible, remember to bring an extra change of clothes and some cold medicine.

Punctual pickup and a fantastic trip! Our guide was brilliant, he explained the science of the Northern Lights so clearly. We reached the spot at Garður around 11:00 pm. It was 5°C (felt like -1°C) and windy, but thankfully we saw the magical Aurora and captured some great photos.

It was absolutely a wonderful trip for us. The bus was so comfortable that we did not feel tired though the travelling distance was more than 800km. Geri who was our guide was a wonderful guide. We were able to see the iceberg and other natural heritages of the South Coast. Absolutely amazing!!!!

We enjoyed all aspects of the museum. We had just finished our Ring Road trip and this was a strand that tied our trip together- answered remaining questions.

Good experience thanks to Alessio, captain and crew from special tours - managed to see 2 humpback whales & 2 mica whales! Thankfully the captain was skilled and reversed when the whale was near us, unlike other smaller boats who charge towards the whale...

Very cool and unique experience right in Reykjavik. The staff and our "Lava Master" guide from the UK were all amazing. So friendly, welcoming, informative and funny too! Experience was impressive overall; to be able to see how lava looks and behaves in a safe and well-controlled indoor setting was remarkable and done masterfully. The entire hour was filled with captivating content and this experience was definitely worth every penny! Note that it does get rather warm in the room, especially if you are not paying for the premium upstairs seating, so dress accordingly.

Skógafoss & Seljalandsfoss Waterfalls 🌈 Freezing cold, howling wind, and pouring rain. Witnessed the natural beauty of light refraction. Caught a rainbow at both! 🌈 ReynisfjaraBlackSandBeach The conditions at Reynisfjara were awful, and despite keeping my distance, I actually got dragged in by a sneaker wave. In that exact moment, I thought, 'If I die right now, at least my family gets 12 million in insurance.' #CloseUpGlacier Looking closely at the glacier, it's far from the ordinary white I know. Instead, it's a natural white with light refractions, mesmerizing from every single angle.🌟 #

Great trip! Our guide was a retired Icelandic man who is very knowledgeable. I have brought some snacks with me and decided to skip the dine-in lunch. The guide arranged me to take a scenic hike trail around the town of Arnarstapi. Highly recommended!

What to know before visiting Reykjavik

Must-try Reykjavik experiences across the year

Reykjavik is best known for its organised Tours and Outdoor & sports activities, which lead bookings and shape the city's seasonal rhythm—demand drifts down through spring, bottoms out in June and then climbs to a clear peak in October. Museums, Events & shows and Indoor games provide lower-key options for quieter months or rainy days.

What families, couples and solo travellers enjoy most

Families often favour Tours and Museums for easy, structured days and indoor backup options when the weather turns; Indoor games add a budget-friendly, rainy-day choice. Couples will find Outdoor & sports activities appealing for memorable adventures and Tours for guided experiences together. Solo travellers and small groups can mix Tours with Events & shows to meet others, while Indoor games offer the cheapest way in when you want something low-cost.

What travellers from Singapore should book ahead

Most visitors from Singapore book with some lead time: planning matters here, with typical bookings made around a week or more before travel and the earliest planners booking about a month ahead. That matters most for the October peak months, when demand is highest; for off-peak months you’ll usually have more flexibility, though popular Tours and Outdoor activities still move faster.

How the main categories compare on price and suitability

Indoor games are the easiest, cheapest entry point and suit budget-conscious visitors or families looking for indoor alternatives. Tours sit at a mid-range level and offer a balance of structure and accessibility for many travellers. Outdoor & sports activities are the priciest and also show the widest spread of options—from modest to premium—making them the choice for couples and active travellers after a standout experience. Museums and Events & shows generally fall into lower-to-mid price bands and work well as complementing activities around Tours or outdoor days.
