Things to do in Nantou

We were very happy to have Dunken as our guide for the day tour to sun moon lake and Qing jing farm, wish we would give more stars for the tour guide. He was very jovial, fun and polite. He also help us and our fellow travellers to take wonderful photographs. We had a wonderful time and everything was well planned and according to schedule. Will highly recommend this tour especially with Dunken as your guide.

totally enjoyed the trip! 阿湯哥is a very enthusiastic, informative and very patient tour guide. once we board the van, he will start giving us information and history of Sun Moon Lake. the 2hrs+ journey to the destination seems shorter with his lively conversation. there were 3 other groups (a family and 2 singles), we all get to know each other well with thanks to 阿湯哥. he spontaneously helped all of us to take pictures, showing us where are the scenic places for photo taking. he even treated all of us with ah Ma tea egg which is truly delicious! my gals and I truly enjoyed the tour with 阿湯哥‘s guide. he deserved a 200% rating!

Convenience of booking with Klook: [Guangfu Holiday | Kids' Energy Unleashed x Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village] Even though I've been busy with work these past two days, I still need to take the kids out for a walk this weekend~ This time, the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village's Halloween event, "Demon Festival: Origins," has made a grand debut, combining Taiwanese ghost stories 👻 and Japanese Yokai culture 🇯🇵. There are also aboriginal crafts and a cross-over with the national film "Mud Doll" to create an immersive horror zone. The kids rushed to the Gold Mine Adventure, the Giant Vortex, took the cable car, rode the Flying Boat, and searched for Yokai, laughing all the way. I really have to admit I'm getting old, some of the facilities are still quite thrilling (or just pretending to be brave 🤣). One trip, daytime is a family adventure in the Yokai world ~ this is the best holiday rhythm ❤️.

We got to explore the sun moon lake with this ticket. You have to purchase this ticket to be able to ride the yacht/boat which travels to 3 ports around the lake. Each ports has its own scenery or activity. In ita thao port you can ride the cable car to get to the formosan village.

This was a rare opportunity to see the autumn leaves at Aowanda. I compared ticket prices on various platforms on the day, and Klook actually had full tickets for only one hundred yuan, which is incredibly generous! Although the maple leaves were almost at the end of their season, the beautiful scenery and suspension bridge made for an unforgettable experience, immersing myself in nature for an entire day~

Nantou's Water and Pine Cute Garden is truly like stepping into a "real-life animal picture book"! From the Highland cattle's adorably blank stares to the tortoises' leisurely strolls, each animal has its own healing power. Chinchillas and Valais Blacknose sheep are as playful as children, white kangaroos hop around nimbly, and the hairless hamsters' chubby appearance is unbelievably cute 😍. And the meerkats standing guard in formation look like they're having an animal conference; capybaras are the park's "healing kings," and just watching them soak in the water makes you feel instantly relaxed. This place is more than just getting close to nature; it's like a "cuteness overload"! Adults and children alike can be healed here. We highly recommend everyone come for a visit and let the little animals melt away your stress~

This is a new attraction in Caotun, Nantou. Although some areas of the park are currently under construction and closed, most of the open areas are sufficient for visitors to spend half a day. Not only are there many animals that can be observed up close, but you can also interact with and feed the parrots, which is very interesting. In addition, the park's trail facilities are complete, and a walk around the park can also achieve the effect of a hiking activity. However, there are not many shaded areas outdoors, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun and stay hydrated when it's hot. It is a tourist attraction worth visiting.

It is highly recommended to walk along this 1.2 km path. This skywalk connects swiss garden to Qingjing farm. One day perfect iternary would be to visit Swiss garden first. Then take the skywalk to enter Qingjing farm from which, you can walk back to swiss garden back.

Walking along the forest trails in Xitou is incredibly refreshing. You're surrounded by towering cedar trees and lush green bamboo forests, and the air is so clean you can't help but take deep breaths. As you stroll, listening to the birds singing, you feel completely relaxed, as if you've temporarily escaped the hustle and bustle of the city. It instantly puts you in a great mood, and you can capture a lot of beautiful photos. However, some trails are temporarily closed due to previous typhoon damage, which is a bit of a shame. Hopefully, they'll be reopened by my next visit. Also, the Klook package includes free tea bags from You Shan Cha Fang, which is a nice perk. The staff there are very friendly, and you even get a complimentary cup of freshly brewed tea. I highly recommend it to everyone.
