Nantou Hehuanshan Main Peak Half-Day Sunrise Tour

The whole trip was great and very happy. The day before, a text message was sent to inform the B&B of the pick-up location and information confirmation. The driver picked up at about 4:30 on the day. We went stargazing before departure🔭. We drove to an open space without light pollution. The stargazing was very beautiful, and it was accompanied by a funny commentary～～Then we continued to drive up the mountain to watch the sunrise, not to Wuling but to Songxue Tower further up (the driver said that this is the sunrise, not the sun XD). The wind was very strong and cold, but very beautiful and touching. Please be prepared to keep warm when going up the mountain. It was super cold🥶The whole experience was great. If there were any problems, the customer service was also very quick to help solve them! Highly recommended～～👍

The driver was on time, knowledgeable and efficient. I didn’t know there was a star gazing portion, so it was a pleasant surprise and really made it bang for your buck. We were lucky with the weather and had an incredible sunrise. The photos were taken on my phone & are completely unedited!

instructions were clear and driver arrived promptly. the view was magnificent (even better in real live than pictures) and we were given ample time to take pictures at each stop. there was also interesting information about the stars by the guide.

In the early morning, I struggled to get out of bed and prepare to go up the mountain. Fortunately, the Sunrise Tour provided round-trip pick-up at the entrance of some B&Bs in Cingjing. Before the car arrived, it was dark at the entrance of the B&B, but when I looked up, I saw a sky full of stars. My eyes that were still sleepy suddenly became excited, and I used my mobile phone camera to capture the stars in the sky💫. After boarding the starry sky bus, the driver explained the knowledge about Cingjing and Hehuanshan Dark Sky Park along the way. After wandering around, we arrived at the "Shimen Mountain Hiking Trail Parking Lot" where we can watch the sunrise. The sky before sunrise was every day. It's flowing every second, and it's really, really beautiful. Apart from the strong wind and low temperature, it can be said to have no shortcomings (the temperature rises a lot after sunrise). Recommended to everyone who wants to visit Shangqingjing and want to enjoy the sunrise. The scenery is really beautiful, but you really need to keep warm!

The tour company OKBus contacted me through WhatsApp upon booking to confirm my hotel (pickup location) and again on the evening before the tour to give the pickup time, driver's name, vehicle and contact numbers. The views of stars against the dark sky (at 4am-430am) and sunrise at a viewing deck and eastern part of Mt Hehuanshan (515am to 6am) was well-worth the effort to wake up early. Remember to wear warm clothing as the winds while waiting for sunrise can be cold. Highly recommended. 👍

very smooth transaction. the operator will contact and inform the exact timing for pick up. the driver is knowledgeable and friendly. Brought us to see stars and also to a higher up site to see sunrise when the original site was too packed. A very good experience and the sunrise is very nice.

this was a great experience for us. we were informed a day before about the pickup arrangement. bus came on time. the weather was good so we had a great time watching the stars before proceeding to the Hehuanshan for the sunrise viewing. since snow fell during the previous days. snow and ice were still along the side of the road adding to the experience. mountain slopes still had snow. Temperature was freezing, you need to clothe properly. The experience was great because the weather was good. If the weather were rainy or foggy, there will be nothing to see.

it was a good experience! the sight of the sunrise was an awesome one. be prepared to wake up really early though! we went twice, as due to rain / clouds on the first day we weren’t able to see the sunrise or stars well. the guide also stopped by for us to take pictures of a sea of clouds on the way down.

The staff contacted me a day earlier to inform me about the pick up time and location. On the day of pick up, driver was on time and it was a smooth ride. Had a few stops to let us take photos too. Stargazing and sunrise was awesome and the view is definitely surreal. Sad that there’s no Milky Way but the stars are definitely different. Love it and it is worth waking up middle of the night just for this short tour! I will want to come back again next time hoping to see the Milky Way!

A 100% itinerary can be said to be a lucky death! (And the date perfectly avoided the typhoon) Originally, the clouds were super thick during the day, and I was worried that I might not be able to see the sunrise, but the conclusion was that I saw it smoothly, super smoothly. The starry sky is so beautiful, and I also followed the Perseid meteor shower (to be honest, I personally didn’t see it), I heard that I couldn’t see the stars at all the night before, roar 😍 Then the teacher who explained the constellations? It’s very interesting, connecting with the universe😍It’s a must🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 Thank you, brother driver, for your hard work. Although your photography skills are not very good hahahahaha the only pity is that Wuling was under control in those few days, and you can only watch the sunrise on a platform that can be reached by a ten-minute walk from my homestay:) It doesn’t matter, at least daily After leaving, you can go to Wuling as a tourist spot, where the mountains, roads, grass, trees, and blue sky are all so beautiful🥹
