Things to do in Hualien

Very fun sightseeing activity, though sightings are more likely to be dolphins than whales. Transfers are highly recommended (if not mandatory) unless you’re driving, as the location isn’t very accessible. There’s a 15 to 30 minute educational briefing on commonly seen whale and dolphin species at their visitor area before being driven to the dock. The boat is clean and well-maintained. I strongly recommend queuing early once you reach the dock to access the boat’s second floor, which offers clearer views and is less crowded (limited to 10 people). Time spent at sea depends on conditions and may be around 1 hour or less, which is understandable. Highly recommended!

Facilities: The boat is new, with ample seating space inside and out. Safety: Plenty of life jackets are available. Location: The meeting point is clear, but parking spaces may be limited when crowded. Experience: We were lucky enough to see dolphins jumping on the surface this time! Hopefully, we'll have a chance to see whales next time!

There are many time slots to choose from, and the pier is easily accessible by bus (310) or taxi even if you go on your own. The weather was great, and the staff was very attentive. You can also store your luggage at the pier office. Thanks to the crew's efforts, we even managed to see a pod of dolphins.

A truly unique experience! The instructors are great at guiding and taking photos! I thought it would be difficult to handle and dangerous, but it wasn't at all. Thanks to the instructors, I got the hang of it quickly! The ATV tour takes you on land and in shallow water, and they also record videos and take photos! I thought it was awesome! I would recommend friends to try it if they have the chance!

There's a free shuttle from Xincheng Station, and the ATV was a lot of fun and totally worth it. The instructor helped us take lots of beautiful photos, which was great. Also, the photos taken at the Mirror of the Sky were beautiful and unique, making it a really fun experience.

It's a shame we didn't see any fish today. Maybe next time!

Last year there was an earthquake, and I was a little worried about the tour because I don't speak Chinese and my English isn't fluent, but to sum it up, it was the best tour ever. Unfortunately, it will take some time for the gorge to be fully restored, but it was still wonderful. Thanks to Tommy guide's kind guidance and wit, I was able to finish the tour from beginning to end without any shortcomings. If I visit Taiwan again, I will definitely come to Hualien again! Thank you so much for leaving me with such a good memory~

First time visiting Farglory Ocean Park, and it's more worthwhile than expected! You can easily spend the whole day here 👍🏻. Besides the marine life exhibits, there are various shows and close-up interactions. I highly recommend seeing the mermaid show (not included in the ticket price, you need to buy a separate ticket, it's recommended to buy it at the entrance using the self-service machine, otherwise it might be sold out). The amusement facilities are also suitable for families, and the sea view from the cable car is basically a mini Busan 😂. The only downside is that some of the attractions and facilities might not be open due to insufficient crowds. But the staff are all super enthusiastic!

On weekdays, the farm doesn't have many visitors. The farm is indeed very large, and you can rent electric vehicles at the entrance. The animals in the cute animal area at the front are well taken care of, but in the more distant areas in the back, it feels like the animals are just left to roam without anyone taking care of them.
