#KlookTips Before You Visit
Pre Book Your Tickets to Skip the Queue
To avoid having to go early and queue at the ticket booths, all you need to do is prebook your tickets on Klook! You will receive a QR code and you can skip the queue and head directly to the entry gates to get into the park.
However, with an influx of tourism to Japan, we recommend that you head to the entry gates to queue at least 1-2 hours before opening time. Do remember to check the official Tokyo Disneyland site for their opening hours!
Download the Tokyo Disney Resort App
We highly recommend downloading the Tokyo Disney Resort app on your phone before entering the park! Make sure to enable location access to see where you are on the park's digital map.
The app allows you to see at a glance:
- Opening hours of the park
- Ride wait times
- Various showtimes available
- Purchase Disney Premier Access
- Redeem the 40th Anniversary Priority Pass
- A digital map of the whole park
- Mobile order food and drinks
- Book restaurants and show restaurants
For Disney Premier Access, you can only purchase it once your ticket has been scanned at the entry. We recommend that you choose the most popular ride first - Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast. This ride consistently has a 140-160 minute wait as compared to the other two rides, The Happy Ride with Baymax and Splash Mountain. As Disney Premier Access is limited, we recommend you get them as fast as you can the moment you enter the park!
Tokyo Disneyland is also offering a 40th Anniversary Priority Pass. This pass is available free of charge and allows guests to select eligible experiences and enter the attraction at a specified time at a reduced wait time. Kind of like Disney Premier Access - but free! These are also limited so do try to get them immediately.
Get Headbands to Start Your Day
Save shopping for all your merch at the end of the day, but we think that grabbing your headbands and other accessories like shoulder plushies or popcorn buckets before you start the day so that you can have the cutest props when you take photos around the park!
Go for Single Rider if you can!
Single rider queues are shorter so if you are strapped for time, you can try to take advantage of this option to skip the long queues. This is a great option if you aren't travelling with kids or if you and your friends are alright with not sitting together for the ride.
How to get to Tokyo Disneyland
Train
Tokyo Disneyland is located in Urayasu, Chiba and the closest train station is Maihama Station, JR Keiyo line. Travelling from the city to Tokyo Disneyland is accessible with your JR pass. When you tap out of Maihama Station, you can either walk to Tokyo Disneyland on foot (7 min walk) or take the Disney Resort Line which is about 1 minute from the station.
Car Transfer
If you're travelling in a big group or simply just prefer comfort and convenience, you can also opt for a car transfer.

Here's why you should stay at a Disney hotel on your next trip. Firstly, it makes your trip to Disney so much more magical and secondly - you get the shortest travel time to Tokyo Disneyland! You can either take the shuttle bus, walk or take the Disney Resort Line.

Different Zones in Tokyo Disneyland
Tokyo Disneyland has seven zones to explore, and a day’s more than enough to explore all of them! Check out this Tokyo Disneyland map if you need help planning your itinerary.
Wanna know what to expect in each of the themed zones? Here’s all you need to know:
1. World Bazaar
As soon as you enter Tokyo Disneyland, you’ll step into World Bazaar where all the souvenir shops are located. Some shops that we would like to spotlight include - Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Parents will definitely wanna make a stop here and give your little princess(es) a royal makeover before exploring the park!
2. Tomorrowland
Interested in all things about outer space and future tech? Tomorrowland is the area for you! Here, you can find fan-favourite attractions such as the Happy Ride with Baymax, Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters, Space Mountain, and the Monsters, Inc. Ride and Go Seek!
3. Toontown
In this suburban toon neighbourhood, you can play with Donald Duck, Mickey, Minnie, and Chip N Dale inside their houses. There's even a kid-friendly rollercoaster (Gadget's Go Coaster) for the young ones! Perfect for families.
4. Fantasyland
Head over to Fantasyland, home to Disney's classic films, such as Beauty and the Beast, Snow White, and Peter Pan. Some iconic rides you don't want to miss include Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, Pooh's Hunny Hunt, Peter Pan's Flight and Haunted Mansion. We especially want to highlight the first two because these are trackless rides!
5. Critter Country
Is Splash Mountain on your ride list? Go to Critter Country, a land based on the Disney film Song of the South. The other ride in this zone is the Beaver Brothers Explorer Canoes, where you can paddle alongside other visitors!
6. Westernland
This zone is Tokyo’s version of Frontierland and is home to Big Thunder Mountain and Tom Sawyer Island. Other rides you can find here include Country Bear Theater, The Diamond Horseshoe, and the Horseshoe Roundup.
7. Adventureland
Last but not least, we have Adventureland! True to its name, this themed land takes you on crazy adventures in tropical jungles, Arabian bazaars, and the wild seas of the Caribbean. Some of our favourites include Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise: Wildlife Expeditions.
Shows and parades at Tokyo Disneyland
Besides exploring all the different lands and fun rides, there's also plenty of entertainment throughout the park that runs the whole day. There are various parades, character meet and greets, and performances to catch, so make sure to check out the timings of what you are interested in and head there early to queue!
Some parades also have Disney Premier Access which allows you to be seated in a specific viewing area for an unobstructed view of the parade. If you do not want to get Disney Premier Access for the parades, we recommend that you head down to the viewing areas at least 1 hour before the parade starts to get the best view!
What to Eat at Tokyo Disneyland
There are a variety of restaurants at Tokyo Disneyland offering a selection of international cuisines including vegetarian and halal choices.
Our favourite must-eats:
Alien Mochi
We loved these alien mochis that came in 3 different flavours - custard, strawberry and chocolate! The best part about this is that you can use Disney Mobile Order on the Tokyo Disney Resort app to avoid waiting in line (whoohoo!).
You can get the alien mochi at Plazma Ray's Diner which is located in Tomorrowland.
Popcorn
This isn't your regular movie bar-sold popcorn! Popcorn is sold in booths all across Tokyo Disneyland - but here's the thing - each booth sells a different flavour. From classic favourites like caramel, cheese, and chocolate to unique flavours like black pepper, honey and strawberry napoleon - you're totally spoilt for choice we say!
You will also notice visitors in the park carrying adorable popcorn buckets which come in many designs - our personal favourite is the Monsters Inc. bucket.
#KlookTip: If you get a popcorn bucket, you can get discounted refills at all popcorn booths!
Baymax Curry Rice
The dishes at Tokyo Disneyland restaurants are both cute and delicious! One good example is this Baymax Curry Rice which you can get at Center Street Coffeehouse. It comes with chicken and beef, and a mixture of two different types of curries that surround a cute Baymax-shaped rice in the middle!
Great American Waffle Co.
Great American Waffle Co. is where you can get your Mickey-shaped waffles that come with maple syrup and other toppings on the side!
When is the best time to visit?
We recommend a good time to visit Tokyo Disneyland is in April. You'll get to enjoy cooler weather and spend the rest of your days in Tokyo admiring the cherry blossoms. If you want to visit the park during the off-season, we recommend that you book your tickets after May 6 or Golden Week, Japan's national week-long holiday. The general rule of thumb is to avoid weekends and public holidays if possible!
Of course, while crowds may get bigger during the holidays, it's still great and extra magical to visit Tokyo Disneyland during October and November for the Halloween and Christmas events!
Is Tokyo Disneyland worth visiting?
Definitely yes! Tokyo Disneyland gives you the best of both worlds. It's a magical combo of the classic Disneyland charm and high-tech systems that make its rides and attractions even more immersive. The park also has unique rides that you won't find at any other Disneyland.
Do they speak English at Tokyo Disneyland?
Yes, they do speak English here. Cast members and park staff talk in English and other languages. However, do note that the English-speaking members aren't always available. Still, most signs inside the park are multilingual for everyone's convenience. You can download Google Translate just in case too!
How many days do I need in Tokyo Disneyland?
If you plan to visit the whole of Tokyo Disney Resort, the ideal length of visit is a full two days, so you'd have enough time to visit Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea. You can even stay at the Tokyo Disneyland hotel to save time on the commute and make the most of your trip!
