Indeed, the exhibit revolves around the ‘Body immersive’ concept, where one’s body gets immersed in the digital art exhibitions. Originally scheduled to only run until the end of 2023, the teamLab Planets Tokyo exhibit has been extended to the end of 2027 due to popular demand! Intrigued? Here’s what you can expect!

How to Buy Tickets to teamLab Planets Tokyo

How to Get to teamLab Planets Tokyo
teamLab Planets is located next to Shin-Toyosu station, which is a 10-minute walk to Toyosu Fish Market.
Opening hours
teamLab Planets Tokyo is open from 9am to 10pm daily. Last entry is one hour before closing.
Vegan Ramen UZU and teamLab Flower Shop is open from 11am to 8.30pm daily. Last order is 30 minutes before closing.

Free-to-use lockers
There are complimentary lockers available for use at the entrance. Be sure to store all your belongings (except your phone or camera for photos!), especially all bulky items so as not to impede the experience. It’d also be best to store any loose items.
One-way route
teamLab Planets has a one-way route, meaning that you won’t be able to revisit any installations once you’ve passed them!
Wear shorts or pants
Due to reflective surfaces and water bodies, we recommend wearing pants or shorts that don’t extend beyond the knee. Otherwise, shorts are available for rent at the exhibit. There are also towels available to dry yourselves off after the water exhibit.

Download the teamLab app before your visit to learn more about each installation. You’ll also be able to use the app to interact with certain exhibits.
Allocate enough time
There’s so much to see and do here at teamLab Planets! We recommend setting aside at least three to four hours to enjoy it fully.
What to See and Do at teamLab Planets TOKYO
Waterfall of Light Particles at the Top of an Incline
We meant it when we said that the exhibits here are immersive. Your first task would be to reach an illuminated waterfall by walking up a slope of water.
Light reflects off the particles of water that create the waterfall, in turn manifesting a waterfall of light particles.
Soft Black Hole
Warning: you’ll have lots of fun here! The entire exhibit consists of a room that’s covered with beanbags. The room of beanbags is impacted and altered by the people who move through the space — “your body changes the space, and that space changes the body of others”.
There’s even a deeper meaning to the exhibit: the designers muse about how we’ve forgotten about the consciousness of our bodies due to how we’re constantly surrounded by flat and hard surfaces. The ‘Soft Black Hole’ installation hence aims to remind us of the body that we have.
#KlookTip: If you don’t feel fit enough to clamber over the beanbags, simply let one of the staff members know! They’ll happily show you through a door to the next exhibit. This can be done for any of the exhibits.
Drawing on The Water Surface Created by the Dance of Koi and People
Now, this is something that we never expected to see in a museum! Mesmerising images of koi are projected on the surface of water, which fills a giant room. Wade into the water, and watch as the koi scatter and turn into flowers once they come into contact with your legs.
The installation is in a perpetual state of change, as the projections are rendered digitally in real-time. Take your time to cross the room, and marvel at how your movements influence the space around you.
The Infinite Crystal Universe
You probably remember this exhibit from the ArtScience Museum, but the Tokyo version is much bigger, and way better! The exhibition seems to stretch infinitely in all directions and constantly changes in colour.

Expanding Three-Dimensional Existence in Transforming Space
Fall headfirst through a rabbit hole into a room filled with huge spheres of light. As visitors walk through the spheres and touch them, the spheres change colour — it’s a truly magical sight.
Even better: a tone is allocated to each colour, which sounds whenever the sphere changes to that particular colour. The surrounding spheres echo this tone, creating a sea of colour and sound.

Floating Flower Garden
Enter a stunning three-dimensional floating flower garden, where visitors become one with nature as they walk around the space. We mean, just look at it!
Moss Garden of Resonating Microcosms
Visit in the day, and you’ll be greeted by shimmering ovoids that reflect their surroundings. As night falls, the ovoids take on an ethereal glow in all colours of the rainbow, adding brilliant pops of colour to the moss garden. It’s said that the ovoids can change into a whopping 61 colours!

When an ovoid interacts with the visitors, or moves in the wind, it emits a sound. The surrounding ovoids echo this sound, transforming the installation.
Floating in the Falling Universe of Flowers
Be enthralled by an evolving wall and ceiling of flowers. Time moves slower here; sit or lie down to enjoy the artwork moving around you.
Where to Eat at teamLab Planets Tokyo
Vegan Ramen UZU

Dig into an exclusive bowl of vegan ramen for 1,800 yen (~S$17). The broth is a highlight, offering a blend of oat milk and miso sauce (that contains seven types of Japanese miso!).
Top it off with a scoop of vegan ice cream for 660 yen (~S$6) per scoop, and choose from flavours like pistachio green tea, pink rhubarb, chocolate dark cacao, and soybean flour coffee. Drinks such as hot or cold green tea, sodas, and beer are also available.

Reversible Rotation - Non-Objective Space

The tables are covered in the same kaleidoscopic calligraphy motif as the ceiling, blurring boundaries. This style is known as spatial calligraphy (basically calligraphy drawn in space), and is reconstructed in a three-dimensional space.
Table of Sky and Fire

Located in the public area, the Table of Sky and Fire is found next to the Universe of Fire Particles Falling from the Sky installation. When visitors stand on the fiery artwork, a black entity is created on the artwork, altering the shape of the flames.
#KlookTip: Download the ‘Distributed Fire’ app, and watch as the flame on your app ignites. Approach another person with the same app, and connect your flames. The connected flames all over the world will then be displayed on a map within the app!
The table reflects both the installation and the sky, making for a pretty cool place to dine or relax at.
One Stroke Bench

Your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you: One Stroke Bench is a single, connected bench that weaves under itself to form the structure. Use the various parts of a bench as a seat, table, or reclining lounger — the choice is entirely yours.
What to Buy at teamLab Planets Tokyo
Remember the Floating Flower Garden exhibit? The exhibit is filled with orchids, which grow without soil. They absorb water from the air, and can be bought from the teamLab Flower Shop. There’s also a range of souvenirs available, such as a tote bag and a living knitted sculpture.
