We expected a quick photo stop. Instead, we ended up spending almost an entire day exploring mountaintop villages, riding one of the world's longest cable cars, getting lost in a European-inspired town, and even squeezing in a few theme park rides.
Perched 1,487m above sea level, Sun World Ba Na Hills is part mountain resort, part theme park, and part fantasy world. Whether you're visiting with family, your partner, or friends, here's everything you need to know before you go!
What Is Sun World Ba Na Hills?
Located about 45 minutes from Da Nang city centre, Sun World Ba Na Hills is a massive mountaintop entertainment complex built on Chua Mountain. The attraction combines scenic viewpoints, cultural landmarks, amusement rides, gardens, restaurants, and one of Vietnam's most famous landmarks — the Golden Bridge. Fun fact: Sun World Ba Na Hills was actually voted Asia's Leading Theme Park in 2025 by World Travel Awards!
The journey up is part of the experience itself. Visitors ride a record-breaking cable car through lush forests and waterfalls before emerging above the clouds into what feels like an entirely different world.

1. See the Famous Golden Bridge
Let's start with the obvious highlight. The Golden Bridge (Cầu Vàng) is a 150-metre-long pedestrian bridge suspended above the mountains and supported by two gigantic stone hands. Since opening in 2018, it has become one of Vietnam's most photographed landmarks and a bucket-list attraction for visitors worldwide.

The bridge gets crowded quickly, especially after 9am when tour groups start arriving. If you want those dreamy photos with fewer people in the background, earlier is always better.

Honestly, the cable car alone is worth the visit.
Stretching over 5.8km, the Ba Na Hills cable car system holds multiple Guinness World Records for the longest single track cable car ride and offers incredible views over waterfalls, dense jungle, and mountain valleys below. The ride takes around 25 minutes and feels more like a scenic attraction than simple transportation.
Pro tip: Put your phone down for a few minutes and simply enjoy the view.
Must-Visit Attractions at Sun World Ba Na Hills
1. French Village
If someone dropped you into the middle of French Village without context, you'd probably forget you were in Vietnam.
Designed to resemble a European town, this area features cobblestone streets, Gothic-inspired architecture, cathedrals, cafés, fountains, and picturesque plazas. It's one of the most photogenic areas in the entire complex and feels particularly magical when mist rolls through the village.
Don't rush through it! Spend some time wandering the hidden alleys and smaller side streets.
2. POP MART Castle (A Must for Labubu Fans)

One of the newest and most unexpected attractions at Sun World Ba Na Hills is the massive POP MART Castle, located right in the heart of French Village. Even if you're not a collector, it's hard to miss — the three-storey castle-like building is topped with a giant Skullpanda figure and looks like something straight out of a fairytale.

Inside, you'll find an immersive POP MART universe filled with oversized character displays, themed photo spots, collectible art toys, and popular blind box series featuring fan-favourites like Labubu, Molly, Skullpanda, Dimoo, Hirono and Crybaby. The store was the first POP MART location within a theme park outside China and has quickly become one of the most talked-about attractions in Ba Na Hills.

3. Fantasy Park
Travelling with kids? Fantasy Park will probably become their favourite part of Ba Na Hills.
This massive indoor entertainment centre features arcade games, rides, 4D and 5D cinemas, climbing attractions, and family-friendly experiences spread across multiple floors. Many attractions are included with your admission ticket, making it great value for families.
4. Alpine Coaster
One of the most popular rides in the park, the Alpine Coaster lets you control your own speed as you race down a winding mountain track.
It's surprisingly fun, especially if you're travelling in a group and want a break from sightseeing.
5. Linh Ung Pagoda
Need a break from the crowds? Linh Ung Pagoda offers a completely different atmosphere. Home to a towering 27-metre Buddha statue, the pagoda sits among beautiful mountain scenery and offers panoramic views across the region.
It's one of the most peaceful corners of Ba Na Hills and worth visiting even if you're not particularly interested in temples.
6. Debay Wine Cellar
History lovers shouldn't miss the Debay Wine Cellar.
Originally built by the French in the 1920s, this underground cellar maintains naturally cool temperatures year-round and provides a fascinating glimpse into Ba Na Hills' colonial history. Visitors can also sample wines while exploring the tunnels.
7. Le Jardin D'Amour Gardens

Often overshadowed by the Golden Bridge, these beautifully landscaped gardens are one of Ba Na Hills' hidden gems. Expect colourful flower displays, manicured pathways, and some of the best photo opportunities in the entire complex.
