An Unforgettable Ski Experience | Sapporo Mt. Moiwa Ski Resort Day Tour On a chilly morning, we gathered at the hotel, where the driver kindly came into the lobby to confirm if we were part of the ski day tour. Once confirmed, we boarded the bus and began our journey. The 40-minute ride was a visual treat, with stunning winter landscapes unfolding outside the window—it felt like a prelude to a magical adventure. Upon arrival at the ski resort, a friendly and cheerful staff member warmly guided us to change into our ski gear and outfits. With everything set, it was time to start learning! We began with the basics—how to glide forward and come to a stop. It was a bit challenging and physically demanding, but undeniably fun! The snow, though not very thick, was soft and powdery, which made falling completely painless—perfect for beginners like me. Our instructor, Coach Tora, was incredibly dedicated and patient. He provided one-on-one guidance for every participant, tirelessly running up and down the slope to ensure everyone was on the right track. A huge shoutout to Tora for his hard work! Once we mastered the basics, we got to ride the chairlift to a higher slope—a thrilling and memorable moment. Just a little tip: be extra careful when getting off the lift! This ski experience was both exciting and rewarding, leaving me with so many wonderful memories. Here are a few tips for anyone planning to try this: If you're going to be actively skiing, wear quick-dry clothing under your gear. Skiing can make you sweat, and quick-dry fabrics will keep you comfortable. If you need a break, head to the nearby canteen for a warm cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the breathtaking snowy views—it’s a delightful way to relax. A big thank you to Coach Tora and the team for making this such an incredible experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to try skiing for the first time!
Booking and paying are very easy. The details for going to the starting point were complete. I had the opportunity to walk around and see where the bus was parked. It was OK. On the actual day I got to the bus, I waited for the driver. He was very good and let me look at the list of names when getting on the bus. He drove well. Taking you to the ski resort, the creditor staff came down to pick you up and were ready to give you advice on choosing ski clothes and equipment. Everything was prepared in your name along with the details of the people on the trip. As for teaching, there were also lessons. Japanese people come to teach us to be calm and determined. It's the best. We spent the whole day at the ski resort. The grandchildren really liked it. It was fun to play. And most importantly, I think this course is very suitable for beginners. I'm impressed. Give it 10 stars out of five. Opportunity to go buy a full day tour.
Skiing was tougher than I expected! The one-hour lesson helped a lot, but it wasn’t quite enough for a first-timer. Still, had an amazing time—so much fun! ⛷️
There is 1 hr ski lesson. it was fun and nice experience. The meet up place is also okay. when you arrive you already have your own box containing the ski materials
it’s hard for first timer better do the Sledding it’s so much fun than Ski😅 I hope they have sledding rent also.. it was great experience!! thank you!!
Great experience for beginner if you want to try ski at dummy level. 1 hour onsite lesson given by instructor on simple maneuvers and safety control. The remaining time you will be on your own leisure. Meanwhile shuttle bus arrive and pick up on time. Great booking experience with Klook.
Overall, my Mount Moiwa ski resort experience was great, but a few improvements could enhance it: 1. The meet-up point information needs clarification to avoid time wastage. Please consider updating it for better efficiency. 2. Lessons seem scattered; introducing a brief initial group session for everyone could alleviate this issue, especially considering that many people in Japan may be hesitant to ask questions. On the positive side: 1. My suit and skis were well-organized before my arrival, which was convenient. 2. Ensure to double-check ski sizes against height. I experienced issues with a wrongly sized ski, causing frequent falls. Pay attention to ski size accuracy and ensure secure shoe fittings. In conclusion, despite some areas for improvement, the team's effort and commitment made it an overall excellent experience.
The bus is on time. Ski teacher has good English so we can learn and practice basic of ski during morning part. Unfortunately, skiing is need a lot of energy, we feel hot and have sweat during practice. I recommend to try.
Had a great day on this tour! My friend and I had never been skiing but the class was very informative and comfortable. The 5-hr package is perfect for beginner skiers! We had a lovely day and recommend this tour!
The instructor was very enthusiastic, and despite the language barrier, he successfully took me from a newbie to a successful beginner. The staff were all very nice, patient and polite, and it was a pleasant skiing experience!
