This museum exhibits a wide range of items, including masterpieces of old Kutani and treasures handed down by the Maeda family of the Kaga domain, as well as Japanese paintings, Western paintings, sculptures, and crafts, mainly by artists from Ishikawa Prefecture. There are many masterpieces that Ishikawa Prefecture is proud of on display, and the national treasure "Iroe Kijikoro" by Ninsei Nonomura is a must-see. You can admire works that show the skill of master craftsmen, such as famous Kaga maki-e tools and traditional crafts designated as Living National Treasures. At the entrance hall is a cafe produced by pastry chef Hirohiro Tsujiguchi from Nanao City, where you can enjoy sweets made with plenty of local ingredients.
