What to expect
This is a classic route starting from Nagoya, connecting the core attractions of Gifu Prefecture, allowing you to experience Japan’s natural landscapes, ancient city charm, and World Heritage sites in one day. First Stop: Hida Takayama: “Little Kyoto” of Hida, with elegant wooden architecture in the Sanmachi old town. You must try Hida beef and can buy Sarubobo dolls and wooden carvings as souvenirs. Second Stop: Shirakawa-go: A World Heritage Gassho-style village, with thatched roofs resembling hands clasped in prayer. It’s a pastoral scene where you can explore the wisdom of a snow country.

Our tour guide, Lin Hu, was very kind and responsible, providing excellent service and detailed explanations. The weather was beautiful, the mountain town was charmingly old-fashioned, and Shirakawa-go felt like a paradise. The itinerary was well-planned with plenty of time. This was a wonderful experience.
I'm very satisfied with this trip. Our guide and driver, Mr. Ng Lok, was very kind, hospitable, and enthusiastic. The itinerary was well-paced with plenty of time. Traveling in Mr. Ng Lok's car was very comfortable, stable, and quiet. Since my departure day was a weekday, Gujo Hachiman had fewer tourists, making it very peaceful and definitely worth visiting.
I was a bit disappointed as it was not a tour, as the guide didnt tell us any history, culture and tradition. I consider this is a prebooked transportation for thd day. I havd to say, the bus is nice and clean. The driver and thd guide were very nice and were on time at every stop.
