Miyako Island: Swim with Sea Turtles! Snorkeling + Photos

i was sooo glad i booked with othree. We had limited hours on the island but this made our trip perfect! experience: othree was very accommodating to my inquiries. They reply within hours though before the schedule of the tour. However the good thing was, i had a problem with my booking at first since i purchased the wrong tour and they fixed it for me. location: you need a taxi to go there, and in our case we had to ask the guide to help us book a taxi going back to the cruise port where we were staying. instructor:the instructor was fun, polite and helpful to us. we love her! equipment:equipments were included, snorkel gears and flippers. they were comfortable enough to wear.

It was easy to find the gathering point. The young coach 一翔 speaks easy-to-understand fluent English and he knows the sea creatures well. I appreciate his patience and his extra efforts in taking pictures under the water for us. This is an amazing experience.

Our guide, Hanna, was very professional, friendly, and welcoming. My wife and I had a wonderful and safe snorkeling experience. Seeing sea turtles and clownfish for the first time was so exciting!

As a beginner, I was able to participate without any worries. The instructor, Ryomatsusuru-san, took many wonderful photos for me. It's a good idea to bring a waterproof case if you want to take your own photos. You can also borrow a wetsuit for free. It was a very good memory. Thank you very much.

I am torn in my rating. I saw tons of turtles. at least 6. the water was very clean and the coral was healthy and in great condition. but… there are so many tours in this one spot that it is crowded in the water. there is literal lines to take pics with the turtles and therefore you tread water waiting for your turn. not really getting to explore and see the water. I also feel that some people didn’t know how bad it was to stand on the coral or maybe what constitutes as coral. if you want to see turtles this is the place to do it but if you are squeamish about animal tourism or over-tourism this is not the place for you.

The tour takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours! I went with instructor Hana, and when we arrived at the parking lot, we were able to comfortably prepare as she brought all the necessary documents, clothes, and equipment to us while we stayed in the car. I was a bit worried since I was snorkeling with my mom, but even those who can't swim can participate without much difficulty by wearing full gear and simply holding onto the guide's tube. It was wonderful to take in the beautiful Miyako Beach, and we even saw turtles and Nemo! The instructor also thoughtfully took photos for each team, making it a very satisfying activity! If you come to Miyakojima, this is an absolute must-do!

Incredibly lucky, the weather was absolutely perfect, underwater visibility was great, and the water temperature was comfortable. An absolutely amazing experience! The instructor was very attentive and patient, and also introduced the underwater ecosystem. Their professionalism goes without saying! Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed today's trip. Rainy Miyako Island was a very nice experience. The diving staff were very dedicated and focused on safety, and we also found sea turtles and Nemo.

We actually saw sea turtles! The instructors were even friendlier and more approachable than I expected!
