we got a bit lost getting there. my GPS took us to another location with the same address so if Google maps does it to you too the place is called Yamato Sample Factory 3rd Craft. we were an hour late but they still let us make our Goodies! the host spoke English but if you know a little Japanese he's got jokes, which was a plus! and if you have time after to explore the area. he will draw you a map of some places to visit and eat!! and we got little Keychain too!!
Fantastic experience! I want to go back again for all of the other food classes! Ryou was so kind and helpful as a teacher! He was very good with his English and when he needed to, used Google translate which worked perfectly! I bought some other food sample products as well! Try out this place! It is right next to a park and has signage for the shop.
Lovely experience and what a beautiful family business, rich with history. This is a great way to change up your travel routine. we love crafting so it was perfect. the teacher was amazing and we got to meet his father and owner! highly recommend this fun!
Loved this workshop! The owner was so nice and welcoming. we got a short explanation about the history of fake food and about the materials being used. The instructions were clear and we had a lovely time! It’s located in a very quiet neighborhood which was very interesting to visit.
incredible experience! we got a little lost and a very kind local woman asked if we needed help and actually walked us to the location! the food sample owner is so sweet and we absolutely loved talking with him. I made the tart keychain and its absolutely adorable. I even bought some sushi earrings while there cause I just had an amazing time. the owner was so sweet that he actually hand drew a map to a local area with food and shopping. we followed his directions and had an amazing time! it's a great area with almost no foreigners so it's truly an authentic Tokyo experience. 10/10 do it and go find the area around sunshine city shopping, you won't regret it.
incredibly fun experience! the instructor was incredibly lovely, and even drew us up a map to local attractions when we mentioned we had no plans for the rest of the day. he was also incredibly knowledgable on the history of fake food, and was incredibly interesting to listen to. If you have a free morning, 100% would recommend
