This Gubei Water Town + Simatai Great Wall combo is simply amazing value for money. There are very few tourists, so you can stroll around comfortably. During the day, wander through the town of Gubei Water Town, take a rocking boat, and look out at the distant Simatai Great Wall. Combined with the yellow leaves of autumn in the ancient town, it is truly breathtaking, and you must experience it for yourself! I think if I have the chance, I must stay one night to have enough time to explore, because the entire Gubei Water Town is super big! Our tour guide, Cindy, is super attentive. Because we took a cable car to tour the Simatai Great Wall at night, she even reminded us to take the time to walk back to the bus. And when she was explaining on the bus, because there were foreigners, her bilingual explanation switching was very fluent!

Loved the entire trip! Have been on other Klook tours but this topped my list. First of all, the tour guide 查查 (aka 小查) was early, so we didn’t have to wait at all since we were also early. She even created a group chat for all participants of the day so she could send us directions, instructions and updates there. Everything was clear and efficient! Other Klook tour guides don’t do this so she really made the experience great 👍 Also, we chose the one-way boat ride option so we could take our time to explore the little town, which was so picturesque.

Today completed tour guided by Susie. my guide is helpful. I contacted her the night before thru wechat. she updated me the pick up time by 9pm the day before the trip. i choose pick up, they arranged didi taxi to pick me up from hotel, we gather at subway station and took bus to the Guibei water town. we reached there around 11 plus am in the morning. inside bus susie explained regarding the trip / boat ride/ cable car ride and prices. can buy ala carte all the activities from here at cheaper price. i pay using alipay apps linked to my international credit card number. once there she bought the ticket for us and explained further the meeting points before departing back to the city. she even help and guide us to the boat ride. inside the town you mainly will be doing your own trip following your own pace. i have alot nice photo on the great wall. it is memerizing, beautiful like me as a person. happy to be back in this relaxing town with nice serenity.
