Shanghai Zhujiajiao Ancient Town tours

The experience in this tour was excellent. Jenny the tour guide made an effort to arrange for the meet up via WhatsApp or Wechat two days before the trip. We departed for the Shanghai film studio on time and she shared many stories during the visit. It was interesting to see the set of various Shanghai scenes from the last century. Lunch was an additional 50Rmb but was definitely worth it as arranged by the guide. We had a feast at the local restaurant. The visit to the Zhujiajiao was the icing on the cake. This was a misty scenic and picturesque ancient town. The ride on the boat along the river canal was magical. Overall the trip was well organised by Jenny and we had free time at the end to explore on our own before ending the trip. Highly recommended.

We got the half day tour. Will arrived ahead of schedule, picked us up at the hotel. Car was spacious, and clean. It was a great tour as Will was well knowledgeable, he even brought us to affordable stores and good restaurants. He also helped us deal with vendors. Quite a fun trip so far! Well recommended :)

Zhujiajiao Ancient Town is very crowded, much like an old street, but it's quite charming and historic. If you haven't been, it's worth a visit. Transportation from the city center to the outskirts is very convenient, and the meeting point is right at the International Hotel, where you can also pick up some butterfly pastries!

He quietly and diligently follows the entire itinerary quickly and well. His personality and appearance are similar to my sister's husband in Korea, which makes him feel familiar and makes me feel like I'm in Korea.

Our guide Maggie was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly kind, caring, and patient with us throughout the whole trip. She always adjusted the schedule to our needs, helped us with everything, waited for us whenever we needed extra time, translated for us, and even bargained for us when we were shopping. She answered all of our silly questions with so much patience and was always there whenever we needed help. She truly took care of us like a real mom! 🥹❤️ We felt so comfortable and well taken care of with her. We’re very grateful for everything she did for us!

Thank you for the excellent service provide by our Guide, Mrs Sun, and our dedicated driver. We had a good time reminiscing Shanghai city in its 1930-1940 and a wonderful time in the water town with Mrs Sun’s informative insight during the tour. We enjoyed taking photos at the old building in the film park and a lovely boat ride and sightseeing at the water town. Not to mention a delicious recommendation of local food at the local restaurant that we enjoyed so MUCH. Thanks for making our day delightful.

We are grateful to have Chi (Kathy) to be our Guide. She speak excellent english and veery knowledgeable about the area. We had a great day in Zhu Jia Jiao particularly during the boat ride. We were able to explorer the town and eat Pork Machang or sticky rice, dumplings and drink traditional tea. We then went to Yu Garden and learn its history. Thank you also to Chi for helping us book our dining experiences for Da Dong and Ren He Guan. This extra service meant a lot for us tourist who do not have chinese number.

I was extremely satisfied with my recent historical tour of Zhujiajiao Water Town and Shanghai Film Park, and I wholeheartedly give it a five-star recommendation! I especially want to thank our tour guide, Xiao Sun. She was professional and enthusiastic throughout the trip, providing incredibly detailed explanations of the historical and cultural significance of each site. This allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of Shanghai's development and local stories. The itinerary was well-planned, and the timing was excellent. She was also quick to assist with any issues, making the entire journey very relaxed and enjoyable. Zhujiajiao Ancient Town boasts beautiful scenery, full of the charm of a Jiangnan water town, while the Film Park is also very unique, making you feel as if you've traveled back in time to old Shanghai. The transportation was comfortable and convenient, offering great value for money overall. I am very grateful for Xiao Sun's thoughtful care and professional service, which created many wonderful memories on this trip.
