Trying on a kimono that day was truly a unique experience.
First, there was the furisode, so wide and large that the sleeves almost brushed the ground. The material was fine silk, embroidered with delicate cherry blossom patterns, smooth to the touch. The master dresser who helped me dress was extremely skilled, wrapping layer upon layer, starting with the juban, then the nagajuban, and finally the gorgeous outer robe.
The sash was tied so tightly that it almost took my breath away. I suppose this is why Japanese women are always soft-spoken and act so gently—being bound so tightly, no one could stride or speak loudly. A small pillow-like object was inserted into the waist; the master dresser said it was an "obiage" used to secure the wide obi belt. The obi knot was tied in the back, very intricate, and I was told there are various styles, but mine was just the most common.
This attire has a certain dignity, as if you're not just wearing a garment, but putting on a whole set of behavioral norms.
Looking in the mirror, the person reflected suddenly seemed much more reserved. My back straightened involuntarily, my head lowered slightly, and even my smile became more subtle. The beauty of the kimono probably lies not in how it adorns the body, but in how it restrains the heart, teaching people to quiet down from the outside in.
Wearing this garment felt like draping an entire culture over my body.

✨ My Own Osaka & Kyoto Trip Review ✨
I was lucky enough to book this trip the day before departure, so I was able to join right away. It was a group tour where we all met at designated locations and traveled together, and I was excited and full of anticipation from the start.
What impressed me most was our guide's attitude.
I'm sure tour guides repeat the same routes and explanations every day, but I was truly touched when they said at the end, "I guide the same route every day, but I always do my best within it."
And there was a really funny moment too.
I heard that people in Osaka respond when you do the "bang" gesture, so I tried it the day before coming to Kyoto, but no one reacted.
If I had gone to Kyoto first, LOL, I wouldn't have been so embarrassed. The guide even told me the right way to do it!
This is a real, honest review! These small episodes are what I'll remember most, haha.
The guide's explanations were informative and entertaining, so there wasn't a dull moment. If I ever come back to Japan, I definitely want to use this tour company again, and with the same guide. Thank you so much.
My only regret was arriving a bit late ㅠㅠ Everyone needs to be on time so that others' schedules aren't disrupted. I realized I need to be punctual in the future. If other customers are also on time, it will be an even more perfect tour! 💗

Great view on the river from the boat! Boat ride takes 20 minutes. Do walk about 5mins further from the Glico man - alight at the Minatomachi pier. Look for the Indy Tour booth.

Kyoto, known in Japan for being humid and hot like Gyeongju in Korea, seemed impossible to see in a single day, so my wife and I signed up for a tour. First of all, a plus for the comfortable bus ride! Within Kyoto, the tourist spots are 40-60 minutes apart by car, so it was a plus-plus to travel comfortably by bus throughout the tour!! I loved seeing the real-life orange fox shrine gates of Fushimi Inari, and Arashiyama was the personal highlight of the day, with the quiet, relaxed vibe of the town, the sound of the river, and the tranquility being so wonderful. (Please give me more time there ㅠ) Ginkaku-ji was the epitome of Japanese garden landscaping, with a perfect sense of serenity, and the Philosopher's Path was great for contemplative walking, befitting its nickname. Kiyomizu-dera has the same grandeur as Bulguksa Temple in Korea, and it's fun to compare the architectural styles and enjoy the wonderful scenery, which definitely has a different flavor. Ginkaku-ji and Kiyomizu-dera were both great, and listening to the guide Schu-chan's explanations after buying tickets allowed us to capture both fun and inspiration, so thumbs up! 👍 I would like to thank Schu-chan again for her hard work in the scorching sun, which was approaching 99°F (37°C), even though it was less hot than August. I will take my time to look over the restaurants, cafes, and shopping lists that you helped me book and recommended at the accommodation 🙏 PS: It's a tough Kyoto tour within a limited time, and it's difficult to have a relaxing experience, but I recommend this course for those who want to visit Kyoto for a day while visiting Osaka. If you feel overwhelmed or tired, you can take a break at a cafe in the middle of the course. 💪

We had an awesome adventure with the team at Osaka go carts. We were shown around the shopping district and tourist sights while driving our go carts speeding through town. I would definitely recommend this experience but also encouraging the longer version.

I booked a day tour on Klook for our family trip! It was a very meaningful day as we comfortably toured Kyoto with my parents and child, and even learned about the history of Osaka and Kyoto from Mr. Jung, our guide. He even shared some insider tips for traveling in Osaka and Kyoto! It was great!
