Hotels near Umeda

This was my second stay at this hotel with my kids, and it continues to deliver great value for money. The beds were exceptionally comfy and spacious enough for all of us to get a restful night's sleep. While the room and bathroom were on the compact side, typical for hotel standards in Japan, they were clean and equipped. Once again, the public onsen was a standout feature and a highlight of our trip. We will definitely revisit and highly recommend this hotel to families traveling in the area!

The location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk from the elevator at Exit 2 of Higashi-Umeda Station. After shopping, you can bring your purchases back to the room, rest a bit, and then head out again 😂. The hotel has a public bath and hot stone beds, which are perfect for relieving fatigue after a day of sightseeing. The staff are very polite and speak good English. The rooms are clean, and there are two washing machines and two dryers on both the 5th and 7th floors. Highly recommended!

My stay at Hotel Intergate Osaka Umeda was excellent. The hotel's location is very convenient, close to the underground pedestrian walkway leading to Osaka Station, making it easy to get to Osaka Station and major shopping malls in Umeda, which is especially helpful on rainy days. The room size was a bit small, but that's to be expected for a hotel in central Osaka, and it was still comfortable and clean overall. One of the hotel's major highlights is its generous food and beverage offerings, including specialty coffee at different times, Happy Hour drinks, and traditional Japanese Ochazuke in the evenings. It was very thoughtful to be able to enjoy these after a day of sightseeing. The hotel staff also provided outstanding service; they were friendly, professional, and always happy to assist guests.

Due to the nature of Japanese business hotels, we couldn't say the rooms were spacious, but since we booked two twin rooms, they arranged them right next to each other—one for my parents and one for my brother and me. When we were struggling with the kiosk during check-in, a Korean staff member was so welcoming and kind in helping us out, which we truly appreciated. The only regret was not being able to see her again by the checkout day to say thank you once more. This was the first overseas trip I took with my parents, and it was wonderful. Thank you so much!

This is a very convenient and lively hotel. Taking the elevator to B1 leads directly to an underground shopping street with drugstores, supermarkets, restaurants, and everything you could need. Department stores like Hankyu, JR, and Higashi-Umeda are all just a few minutes' walk away, making it an incredibly convenient location. The hotel staff are also very friendly. It's a great hotel.

I chose a twin room, and there's an elevator from the underground shopping area that goes directly to the hotel, which is very convenient (though it takes some time to find it in the Umeda labyrinth 😂). The elevator is at exit 772 (you can see it in my photos). I have to commend their front desk service; their English skills are excellent, and the night shift even has staff who speak Chinese. My Amazon Japan order had a problem and was delayed, so it wouldn't arrive until the day I was checking out. The hotel said it was no problem and they could help receive the package. Later, it arrived a day early, but because there was an issue with the product, I had to return it! The hotel also printed the return QR code for me for free (I could email it to them). On the day of my checkout, the courier picked up my return, and the hotel even sent me an email to let me know the courier successfully picked up the return. Truly top-notch service!

During our trip, we traveled to Kyoto and returned to stay again at KOKO Hotel Osaka Umeda. The hotel offered a luggage keeping service at a fee of 400 yen for our 3 luggages, which I found quite reasonable. When we came back at night, our luggages were already waiting in our room — such a thoughtful and efficient service! This really added to the convenience and comfort of our stay, and we were very happy with how smoothly everything was handled. Overall, the hotel continues to impress us with its reliable facilities and excellent service.

The location is very convenient and not far from the station, but Umeda Station is incredibly complex, so I probably won't stay here again. The hotel provides Sekkisei amenities and is connected to a 7-Eleven, which is very convenient. There's also a good Kura Sushi nearby.
