Oh my gosh what an incredible experience! I booked this excursion hesitantly, because I LOVE elephants, and don't want to partake in anything that has to do with abusing an animal. I was impressed with the introductory speech Nancy gave, giving us a background on the elephants history, where they're rescued from, appropriate activity and actions around the elephants while we're near them. It was saddening to hear the stories of some of the elephants and what they have been rescued from, but also so heartwarming to see them thriving in an environment where they're clearly loved and cared for. Feeding the elephants was so fun! Each elephant has their own personality, and you can see that through their behavior. I spent the washing time petting them instead, and don't regret any of it for a second. When we come back to Thailand to Chiang Mai, we'll visit their sister locations in the northern part of the location. Thank you Nancy, Eddy, and Mr M! We had a wonderful time!

Tip: this place is really far out so if you’re not staying close by, suggest you leave enough time for getting there! I was soooo late! luckily, they still let me have my session. thank you!!! I chosen to do the sunset horse riding and hands on heart, it was so worth it! it was soooo beautiful, the guide was so kind, helped with photos and videos! so don’t worry if you’re travelling solo! I didn’t choose the option with round trip transfer which I think I really should have because the place was so far out, by the time it ended, it was almost 7pm and getting a GRAB back was such a pain! there were so many drivers rejecting! I only managed after 5-6 attempts! go for the sunset option… it was jaw dropping beautiful!

I visited with my grandparents (older travelers) and this was a really accessible experience where the guides were really friendly and the elephants were free to roam! The carers of the elephants followed the elephant and not the other way around, it was amazing to see them play. The highlight for me was the elephant hospital, and getting to meet the veterinarian who was caring for a sick elephant of old age. Its amazing what they are doing for the elephant species as a whole in phuket, the site is really peaceful too and the food was excellent!

The sanctuary is vast, amongst lush greenery. Facilities are clean and well-maintained. I appreciate that they don’t allow touching or bathing of the elephants, prioritising the safety of the visitors, as well as the elephants’ welfare. You get to see the elephants in their element, as they roam freely. Our guide was also warm and knowledgable. Loved every minute of it!

Day at the most amazing elephant sanctuary, and honestly, it felt like visiting a dream retirement village for elephants. They have four gentle giants, each with their own personality, and you can actually go with them to the sea to wash and play. Watching them splash around, happy and relaxed, you can really tell how loved and well cared for they are.
The place is peaceful and beautiful, with kind staff who all speak English and make you feel so welcome. The food they served was absolutely delicious, proper authentic Thai cooking that made the day even better. And then there’s Jojo, the dog who thinks she’s part of the tour team! She trotted along beside us the whole time like a proud little guide, which made it even more special.
It’s one of those experiences that stays with you. I’d give it 15 stars out of 10 if I could, and I’ll definitely be coming back one day. The best part is knowing that the money you spend goes straight to caring for the elephants.

This was definitely a highlight of our trip, we did the feed and spa package. Easy pick up and drop off from our hotel, the guide was funny, informative and a smaller group made it more personal and interactive. The elephants were amazing such beautiful animals, this place does great work!
