A Harry Potter Theme Park is underway - and no, it isn't the one in Universal Studios Japan
Potterheads, rejoice! A new magical Harry Potter Theme Park will be here to whisk you off to your most magical dreams this 2023! In a report by Kyodo News, a 94-year-old amusement park in Tokyo, Japan will be closing down by end August, and part of the site will be used to construct a brand new theme park based on the Harry Potter films. The new theme park is scheduled to open its doors in the first half of 2023!
The plot of land where the new theme park will be built will be leased to Itochu Corp. and Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. - the people who will make the magic happen.
The Second Of Such Facility In The World
This theme park will be the second of such facility in the world, and seems like it'll resemble the amazing Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London. However, fans shouldn't confuse this Harry Potter theme park to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Japan (Osaka).
As mentioned, reports say that this Harry Potter theme park will be patterned after the Harry Potter Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London. Should this be true, potterheads will be able to marvel at the breathtaking production sets, actual props and costumes used in the films.
What's the Warner Bros Studios Tour in London like?
The Warners Bros Studio in London allows visitors to go on a unique behind-the-scenes tour of the film franchise. The actual sets used in the film for iconic locations such as Diagon Alley, Gringotts Wizarding Bank, and Hogwarts' Great Hall, is accessible to all guests in addition to the actual costumes and props used in the film.
The experience is also incredibly interactive - guests can queue up to ride a broomstick against a green-screen (just like the actors did in the movies) and even have a whack at potting mandrakes! If you ever find yourself in London, be sure to book your discounted admission tickets to Warner Bros Studios Tour via Klook.
Although limited details have been released about the new Harry Potter theme park, we're definitely looking forward to exploring a new magical world once it's safer to do so. Stay tuned for more updates on this story!
