    Siargao is the surfing capital of the Philippines but it is more than just its beaches and clear waters. It’s also one of the best places to visit for foodies going on gastronomic adventures!
    Since happily sharing a delicious meal with other people is part of Siargao’s culture, it was only fitting for the locals to put up restaurants where people from all walks of life and cultures can dine together, and over the years, the number of eateries grew.     Kermit Siargao is one of the island’s most popular resorts and is a hub area for surfers. It is highly touted for its laid-back atmosphere and quintessential island vibe, which is reflected by its architecture. Most of its sections are open and are surrounded by tropical plants.

    It is also famous for its dining area, where the cooks whip up homemade pasta, cold fruit shakes to beat the heat, and sweet cocktails. The local favorites are their woodfire pizzas, the perfect food for group night outs. They’re so scrumptious that they consider Kermit to have the best pizza on the island. Nothing comes close.

    2. La Carinderia

    La Carinderia is a busy roadside restaurant located in General Luna. The reason why it’s so busy is because of its unique blend of Filipino and Italian cuisine, and both locals and tourists are obsessed with them. Some dishes are Filipino takes on Italian food, and vice versa, and they make the perfect comfort food, especially after a long day of exploring the island.

    They serve your typical Italian meals like Lasagna and Panini and Filipino staples like Sisig (with Tuna) and Longsilog, but they also have a special menu that you should check out whenever you visit because they might be offering unique takes on both Filipino and Italian dishes. This restaurant can be found inside the Siargao Island Villas hotel complex and it is notable for specializing and serving Indonesian dishes. If you’re looking for some spice with the food you eat during your vacation on the island, then this is a restaurant that you can’t pass up on, all the more if you’ve been to Indonesia and are craving the country’s food.

They serve staples like Pad Thai, Mahi-Mahi, and Tom Yum as well as specials like Traditional Pig Roast, Gaeng Ped (a spicy red curry chicken dish), and Mango Pandan Sticky Rice.     Mama’s Grill is arguably Siargao’s most popular dining joint. Everyone from foreigners to domestic travelers (especially domestic travelers) line up early just to be able to munch on their affordable, mouthwatering BBQ meat and seafood. For the small price of PHP150-200, you’ll be served more than what you need, but you will definitely want to finish all of it.
    Their must-tries are their premium cut grilled pork BBQs, marlins, chicken, and shrimp! They also grill hotdogs and vegetables, as well as offer pulutan and San Miguel Beer to those looking to spend an inuman session in the restaurant.

Crepes is a small dessert cafe where tourists and locals go to cool down midway through their excursions or to beat the heat, especially during the summer season.

    Buonana is a dessert restaurant that serves “nice creams,” which are ice creams but without the guilt because they’re especially made while keeping vegans in mind. It’s also another place to visit and stay at for an hour or two to beat the heat!
