Reviews
This activity was a very good experience. The staff service was excellent. There were many kimono to choose from. We booked the basic set, but it was already very beautiful. If you want a minimalist style, you have to pay extra, and beautiful hairstyles also cost an extra 1650 yen. We added that as well. The hair was done quickly and beautifully. There was someone to help dress us, which was very convenient. They also lend out bags and shoes for free.
cheaper to buy in klook as it cost 3000 yen for basic package in all shops there. I did not do any top up but really limited choices (less than 20 to 30 pieces) of basic kimono and most the color a bit too over.
The location is excellent, very close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. The staff are all very enthusiastic and lovely. Many of them speak Chinese, and English communication is also available. There are quite a few European and American customers, so there's no need to worry about communication issues. I purchased an affordable kimono, and the selection was decent, not as limited as I expected; there were certainly enough options for me to choose from. There's absolutely no need to reserve a style in advance, as the store has so many styles to choose from. The hairstyles are also beautiful. I booked a travel photographer, and the photographer was very professional. I received the original photos on the same day and couldn't wait to leave a review. Overall, it's definitely worth the price.
It is highly recommended to try wearing a kimono, but you really have to be mentally prepared to spend money~ Let’s not talk about the original purchase cost + makeup~ because upgrading the kimono costs money, and upgrading the hairstyle also costs money!!!! Even someone next door said... I am not satisfied with the matching. I hope I can change the belt but it also costs money~ If you are from Taiwan, they are really friendly, because many people in the store can speak Chinese, so you don’t have to worry about language communication problems. The makeup artist is also very attentive and knows how to match the selection. Don’t worry about matching the kimono, money can solve all problems
Lovely place, easy to check in by Klook, big selection of styles. Staff super friendly and speaks English. I loved my kimono and hairstyle. Highly recommend!
Let’s focus on the advantages of the Kiyomizu Temple store: 1. This store is very close to Kiyomizu Temple, the transportation is very convenient, and it is easy to find. 2. I really like the decoration style of the Kiyomizudera store. It’s antique. There is a Japanese-style courtyard in the backyard, where you can take photos. This saves everyone from going out to find a Japanese-style courtyard. 3. There are so many clothes, and they are all on the first floor. It's a kimono, so it's super convenient to choose. 4. The layout of the store is very reasonable. You can choose clothes and do your hair on the first floor, and the dressing room on the second floor. I highly recommend this store. I hope the store will do better and better.
It was 2 p.m. when I arrived. I originally thought I would be late, but unexpectedly, the hairstyling, makeup, and outfit change only took 40 minutes in total, and everything looked fantastic. The staff worked quickly and provided professional service. It's a really great shop.
This was my first time in Kyoto for a kimono photoshoot, and since I wasn't familiar with the locations of the kimono shops, I chose this one near Kiyomizu-dera Temple. It's a street-side shop, quite easy to find. There weren't many tourists in Kyoto overall, so the kimono shop wasn't crowded. First, regarding the price, Klook definitely offers great deals—they're genuinely good discounts, about 30% cheaper than in-store prices. There's nothing to fault with the service either; they were able to answer most of my questions. Highly recommended!
I did my research in advance and compared prices, finding Klook to be the cheapest. I saw in the reviews that you could pay the difference and upgrade in-store, so I initially bought the cheapest package. After arriving at the store, I spent a long time choosing this furisode. To be honest, it's truly beautiful, but it's not for everyone; it depends on the person. For example, shorter girls look best in a komon or lace kimono. The store's location is excellent, but be prepared for a lot of walking in Kyoto.
The kimonos are beautiful, and even the most affordable package offers many choices. The staff are very kind and will help you resolve any issues as quickly as possible. The shop is located near Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and while there are many kimono shops along the way, this one is unique and easily recognizable by its large circular glass window. The only potential issue is that you might find it a bit tiring if you're not used to wearing geta (wooden clogs). I recommend walking slowly and taking some photos to get accustomed to them; it will get much better.
