Cruise Bus between Chiayi and Alishan

The return trip of the Alishan cruise shuttle bus is at the same place where you get off on the outbound trip, and the bus arrives on time. The scenery on the return trip was beautiful. The tour guide no longer repeated the introduction of the customs and history of Chiayi and Alishan and the scenery along the way. Instead, he focused on two stops on the return trip: Fenchihu and the Tsou Zhulu Cultural and Creative Park. He also talked about the history and customs of Taiwan's indigenous peoples. Unfortunately, we encountered a traffic jam on the way, and we could only stay in the Zuzhulu Cultural and Creative Park for five minutes out of the half-hour visit, so we could only say we were passing by. The fare included free donuts at Fenchihu. Many tourists lined up to buy them, but the taste was just average. On the contrary, the soft serve ice cream sold in the Fenchihu garage was very delicious. Compared to taking the train or bus to Alishan, taking this cruise-style shuttle bus is a very good alternative.

The bus to Alishan picked us up on time from Chiayi Railway Station. The boarding procedure was simple and the bus seats were comfortable. The tour guide on the bus talked about the customs and history of Chiayi and Alishan and the scenery along the way. Because there were tourists from India on the same day, the tour guide gave a general explanation in English. The scenery along the bus was beautiful, and we even saw the sea of clouds. During the journey, the bus will let everyone stop at Xiding and walk along the Eryanping Trail, which requires climbing stairs. Due to time constraints, we only walked the first section of the tea garden trail and then turned back along the way. The bus arrived at Alishan National Forest Recreation Area on time. Compared to taking the train or bus to Alishan, taking this cruise-style shuttle bus is a much better experience.

The bus is spacious and on time. We stop at fenqihu and it is a nice old street to visit, the famous lunchbox is delicious. we also have time to visit the Train Display, its an interesting exhibition about the Alishan antique trains. The Tourguide is very friendly and shares us a lot of info about Tainan Food as it is her hometown.

The Big White Bear in front of the station is being cleaned. The tour guide Jack is very nice and explains clearly. We stopped at Eryanping in the middle, but because we didn't hit the right time, we could only go a short distance and had to go back. The itinerary is ideal. You don’t have to take the bus. You can put your luggage in the luggage compartment. It’s very convenient. If I go to Alishan again next time, I will book it again.

You can redeem a free donut and browse many small shops on Fenqihu Old Street. Enjoy the Alishan Light Corridor and watch deer being fed at the Zhulu Cultural Park, though unfortunately, we only had 20 minutes there.

Taking the tour bus is very convenient because you don't have to drive long distances yourself. Along the way, you can enjoy the scenery on the way to Alishan. Our tour guide, Jacky, speaks both English and Chinese, and the air on the mountain is cool and comfortable.

The departure trip was on time with Director Xie (Mr.) arriving promptly. The service was attentive, and the explanations were clear, interesting, and interactive. It was easy to travel by cruise bus, and the driver's driving was also very stable. Recommended to everyone!
